of the top 4 they have the weakest bench

Come finals each team is as strong as their bench

    check them out

In the coming fortnight we will UNDOUBTEDLY have the BEST BENCH

we won in 2002 without a week off. ditto tiges in 2005. it's preferable to get the week off but if we don't get the week off i don't think it automatically disqualifies us.

Only difference is that the game has changed a lot from the early 2000's.
Players are bigger and faster, hits are bigger, game is played at a faster pace, 6 again rule makes it even faster, injuries are now commonplace, as are HIA's.
Experts like Sterlo also state that they think the winner will come from the top 4.
To play 4 finals games and win them is too hard - your team is carrying too many injuries because of the tough games.
Its possible to win from 5th, but unlikely.
Judging by the team the Roosters have picked for the Raiders game, I reckon they think along the same lines.

maybe not. you want the week off to get a rest and to not suffer injuries or suspensions. it's been a shortened season and a lot of our guys have been out and don't need a rest. guys like sbw and angus might even benefit from playing another week. if a team can play in the 2nd week of the finals and win without getting any injuries or suspensions then they've got momentum.

but don't get me wrong. i always want us to win and i want us to win this week. i want us to win every game for the rest of the season.

We have picked a team to ensure victory this week.

Roll through Canberra and the 3 peat is insight.

Easier said than done. The Raiders will be very hard to beat.

would have been unfair to exclude the first 2 rounds from the table this year but it's been a new comp with new rules since iso so looking at a table that doesn't include the first 2 rounds maybe gives a better indication of where the clubs stand going into the finals -

              penrith 29 +227
              easts 26 +273
              storm 26 +222
              eels 22 +40

doesn't really say much except that maybe we're more a top 2 team than we'll finish up.
