  • The run home and what are we looking at!

With our season now precariously in the balance the reality is that a top 4 spot is pretty much a tough ask and even the top 8 is looking tough in some ways.

There are 7 games remaining as of today for the teams below us, so a possible 14 points up for grabs. We have 12 points up for grabs.

The threats will be teams 9-11 at this stage....

Manly on 12 points have a good draw but injuries are biting yet could easily win 4 or 5 from 7 ... this would put them on 20/22 points points...win all and they are on 26...which would then be our target (4 from 6)

Tigers on 10 have a tough draw and look like a possible 3 wins at max . which would not get them past us...only thing is they may get teams resting players in the last rounds...again I see them on 16-18 points

Warriors on 10 could jag 3 or 4 from their last games also...cant see anymore than this which would also have them at 18 points or 20 at max.

Both the tigers and Warriors could reach 24 points if they jag all wins....which would be our next target.... can't see it happening though

Below that you have the Titans and Dragons on 8 who would need a miracle but could finish on 22 at max but more likely 18 on a miraculous run (5 from 7 if that much)...

So, from the above, I am thinking 22 points is where we need to be to get in the 8 for sure...20 would see our for and against will get us through.....

Until Keary is back, I am struggling to find a win in the next few weeks against teams we should have been banking the point against... it's not easy to adjust to a new halves paring regardless especially with injuries mounting

I think we should focus on getting into the 8 then resting players....top 4 is pretty much going to be a miracle......lock in any spot 5 to 8 and have a 2 week rest before the finals assault where you need to win 4 in a row for the crown!!! Will be interesting to see what happens..

Def looking at a couple of those games we should have closed out coming back to bite now....at the same time some of the recent tough wins have been a blessing to compensate.

Last week I was doing the maths to close out a top 4 spot, today just skimming to make the 8......

Don’t we have tigers and broncos next 2 games? Win both and we make the 8.

Are you confident of either....???? I have no idea how this new look team of ours will perform without LK, even with some possible ins.

        thanks for doing the work.

things might look diff as players start to come back but atm we can't take any pts for granted.

still, every year it's a diff journey and we need to do whatever it takes. do well during the hard times and the good times will come.

If we have the same completions as we did against the Dragons then I think we have the team to win the next two games.

If we complete at 60% like last night then the games will be close but I still think we will win.

Tom Trbojevic isn’t too far away from returning according to NRL.com so they’ll be good as gold.

When they get back Turbo and have their full pack on the ground they will still pose a threat this year....if they can scrape together a few wins and make the i between now and then

Robbo says every season is different, so there could be more surprises in store. Perhaps we don't have to finish fourth, but I personally hope that we do, to get that second bight of the cherry. Most believe that the week off is crucial. I tend to agree.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

top 4 is more vital this year

                        we need the time off

                        lets just win this week

not sure about that. in a normal season the winner comes from the top 4 cos the best teams are in the top 4. this isn't a normal season. if we've got everyone fit and firing come finals time we'll give it a shake wherever we finish.

                              Big game this week.

The Broncos might lift next week if Seibold leaves.

                              Tough few weeks coming up.
