Wow, I've just re-read the email & I have no idea how I came to that conclusion!! I blame old age & a lack of a leadership group in my life for my erring. On re-reading the article, it actually sounds more like the type of "audit" that Jack Gibson came back from the USA with in 1974, maybe Smithy has adopted a Gibsonism!

edit: this post is in response to Cockadoodledoo's question on the previous page, forgot to reply with quote. I really do need a leadership group in my life!!

Funny stuff Big Arty, you made me laugh.

As to this leadership group thing, pffft, a waste of time in my humble opinion, bunch of Gen Y sissys.

im not going to read all the pages but my take is this:
notable omissions - pearce, friend, SKD, FPN and JWH. Im particularly surpirsed JWH didnt get a look in - i honestly think he is going to step up big time this year for us and with kennedy, absolutely terrorise opposition teams in the opening exchanges much like morely. After the year he just had and the way he is going, im also surprised friend is missing. Pearce likewise considering that for a while he was considered our future captain and with maloney on his way for next year it does appear as though we will have a new captain for 2013. SKD also despite having had an average year in 2011 still boasts 100 odd games of first grade with plenty of internationals mixed in. I guess FPN misses out as a result of his misbehaviour at the end of last year. that said, he does seem like a good leader among the forwards particularly with the young polynesian boys so he will no doubt still have a strong influence. Also an international of course.

And I thought I was being racist with my Ebonics reference. For shame, MadMan.

You know in Canada you can't even say CEO as it is considered discriminatory?? Actually Ebonics is a seriously studied and valid dialect of English. People have written Phds on the subject and had careers on that basis.
