Yes can certainly agree with the idea of giving him a break at some stage to keep some gas in the tank

I dont mind the idea of giving Lam and Lussick a shared role at hooker for a game or two, and give Jake a freshen up.

We will miss his tireless defence in the middle, but will gain some energy and spark in attack.

Jake has hit that patch again where he is slowing us down in attack, probably carrying an injury. We need him back at his best. Im sure he will get his groove back as he is desperate to wear the maroon jersey this year as well as get the 3peat, with young bucks like Grant and Mahoney providing strong opposition, there is plenty of motivation.

I am all for giving Jake Friend a week or two to freshen up. His defensive work rate is enormous so it's easy to see why he may be tired. Robbo will be aware of it but with Cordner and some other senior players out of the team, he will pick his moment to give Friend a break.

On Lam - I think he's going well and will continue to improve with more game time. I do note though that his passing from dummy half, particularly left to right, is slow and limited in range. I don't say that to be critical, but passing from dummy half is a skill that takes years of practice. He hasn't got that practice under his belt and whilst he is a far sharper runner than Friend, he will also slow down our attack with that limitation. Good enough to be serviceable - yes. A permanent replacement for Friend - in my opinion - not at this time.

Yes. However Maubs doesn't throw forward passes all game.

Calling Nathan Peats......the forgotten trojan....he's tough and underused by the Titans.
I've no doubt his career would blossom once again in our structure. He's the perfect substitute for Jake when he comes off for a breather.
Just like the Morris boys i reckon we could get him for a bargain deal based on the premise we're giving him an ideal opportunity to resurrect his career and hopefully finish it in glory

All rubbish...your right jakes form has dropped..been only he has had to cover missing injured players in defense .Yesterday i think he did 50 tackles in 50 mins ...
and assisted in 30 others ...until a tackling machine puts his hand up and assists him his game will suffer....Im calling out Maubs to lift his game

Jake has been a bit lazy with his service that is all.

I like what Lam brought to the side when he came on. In the Verrills absence it is exactly what the team needs. And the son of a gun is playing first grade as a result.
                ..it’ll be interesting to see

Unless Friend is in hospital he will be the 1st player picked for the Titans game.
There is no way on earth that Robbo would rest Friend & play 2 rookies in the most key position.

I'll let Robbo know you liked what Lam brought to the side. Any other suggestions or tips you want me to pass on to him?

Run a play for Flanagan to dummy and run.. preferably score a try. By doing that it would allow Joey more room for when he does pass

Robbo needs to find a way in rotating him effectively.
                        Amen.
Maybe when we buy a couple of "too big, too strong, too fast" players, Jake won't have to do as much tackling, and will not be gassed so quickly.
