Well said BB, the sting was in their official connection to the school. For a while there I wondered about the emotional use of "schoolgirl" by the media when the girls were at or past the age of consent. Typical of i though, never any attempt to explain and be factual, always the entertainment angle. I mean did we need to know that in response to CWN's innocent "What are you doing tonight?", the girl answered "You!".
Sweathog makes some valid points especially about young women being "immature" and that's their appeal to young men - it's the life force - and neither boy would have had the subtlty of "official visit" on their minds with those firecrackers around.

Yep, a couple of footballers hooking up with a couple of social media slappers = no outrage. Throw in the word 'school' and everyone grabs their soapbox.

The overturning of the players de-registration probably saved the NRL from litigation.

      Chook.

Wilful ignorance is the common parental position, I know that it was mine, and it involves a high degree of memory loss. The experience of the Dawson twins at The Forest High School gives us a pretty fair indication of the sexual propensities of a lot of young females and that was way back in the day.

My daughter referred to these two girls as "social media sluts", says that it's a common term for women who hook up on social media just to get a root, which is precisely what these two did.

            Chook.

At 22 and 24, they should know better. Slut shaming isn’t wise

This is the NRL where a self-confessed drug cheat get made "immortal" and the brother of said immortal lead gang bang get their own, completely asinine, tv show.

What Jayden Okunbor and Corey Harawira-Naera did was not illegal or even technically immoral as both girls were consenting adults, if they weren't where's the statutory rape charges? The hypocrisy of the NRL regarding women is radiant. The rush to judgement regarding assault on women nearly killed Shaun Kenny-Dowall and almost destroyed Josh Reynolds.

And don't get me started on that woman who withdrew the charges against Dylan Walker. That was all about seeing her ATM become a convicted felon and unemployed cashless ATM. It's no wonder he got off, guilty or not.

Regarding Mitchell Pearce: I said at the time, my problem with Mitchell Pearce wasn't his being absolutely off his tits, shouting "I have no sexuality, I'll f*** anything" while dry humping that poor dog, it was that he took two junior players out after the coach and team manager said "get a cab and go home". And he did that while captain of the club.

Also, the NRL had better pray that Jack de Belin is found guilty or they'll be writing a very large check in lieu of an apology. Maybe Peter Beattie can make a return appearance and apologise.

BB has drawn our attention to the fine print Johnny, the school visit was an official NRL activity. As much as we might sympathise with the younguns there's that awkward proviso. Wasn't Coffs where the Doggies also got into strife when JT was a tyro? Must be some town. May have been the girls' mothers back then.

I feel these topics come up just as an excuse to debate politics and not to even discuss if they would fit or make our team (like the SBW and Folau topics)

Yeah? Where's the politix? Jax hasn't weighed in yet. There's no mention of our Glad's numerous stuff ups and that hole in the ground over in Moore Park. Come to think of it, there's no mention of any of that in the MSM either - it's not a Labor Government after all.
