I love yours posts mickie , you make me laugh and call bs on so many things that are posted on here ...ie the whole conspiracy theory the nrl have against the chooks, but yea there are def posters on here you must admit who do not really seem to be here for sydney roosters commentary and have more ahhh ulterior motives...

Not from ACL's though - the Lars ACL surgery was the next big thing with players/athlete's able to come back in 3 to 4 months - but many of these have failed and they either have further lars surgery or the normal ACL surgery - I remember the first person to have this Lars ACL surgery was a Swans AFL player - he ended up having to have 3 of these - back then it was grafts from deceased persons now it's a synthetic rope type graft- Lars could work for no impact sports - but for impact sports when twisting and turning say is involved the knee could give way-

Yeah so I dunno if they'd use LARS? With LARS they drill a hole through the bones on either side of your knee and also through the centre of your ACL (which connects the two, providing stability). They then put a strap through the bones and the ligament gradually grows back in place of the strap. As you've noted, Alex Johnson did this and it didn't go so well (see https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-...-good/10129102). So like... it can get you back in '4 months' but it's risky and if it does re-break then there will be all this cord and shyte floating the site... messy.

I'm no expert but my understanding is there's no miracle ACL cure out there. As soon as you know it's a grade 3 tear, you're up for a long recovery period and there's not a lot you can do about that. Radley will not be back by the finals and I don't want him having some risky 'miracle' cure that's just gonna cause other dramas. It pays to take the time off and recover properly IMO because you don't end up farking around with repeat injuries...etc.

            ---

Edit: I don't wanna call it 'good news' because it's terrible news, but looks like Hodgson might have also done his ACL. Again not 'good' news but it looks like we're not the only team with season-ending injuries (although 3 ACLs in a season s*x soooo bad!!)

              Yep.
Sure we support the team but it doesn’t mean we are the same people. Celebrate diversity with the occasional sledge.

Matt Lodge has been nursing an acl he was in ny. Damaged it again in Feb, was playing again in May. Can happen. Lars isn’t the answer

Agreed. We need him fit for the next 10 years, not bandaged up for the finals.

IMO our culture of player welfare is something that's often ignored. People choose us over Souffs for a reason. Long-term your body will be better off.

I really hope you’re right but unless it’s only a partial tear, I can’t see it happening. And yes you have had a few scoops in the past so I would love for you to be right again here.
