The 2 weeks iso period only applys to people who display flu symptoms e.g cough, sore throat.
Incorrect. Everyone - not just people with symptoms - arriving in Australia must go into quarantine for 14 days. https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/whi...ning-australia

Nobody knows how frequently people with asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 pass the disease on to others,

That's for people arriving from OS.
I'm screening people at a hospital now and I'm only going off the protocols they've layed down.
Teddy would've go swabed last week and he's back with the boys training now.
If Tolman returns positive, that's the game changer.

OK, but I still don't understand. If they can test a person arriving in Australia and can immediately determine that they are safe, why have a quarantine period at all?

Would be funnier if we still beat them.

That I think was legislated before they closed the borders and they've just kept it as a precaution. Os travellers pose a bigger threat to the community I'm guessing.
As someone else mentioned this whole player 'bubble' thing is a total myth.

The Bulldogs and Roosters clash will go ahead on Monday after Aiden Tolman tested negative to coronavirus.

                Lmao what a farce.

Why couldn't it still have gone ahead today?

                Absolute lunatics running the asylum.

Not enough time when he only got the test results back less than an hour ago, also the NRL wants to be overly cautious and have tested the other 46 people inside the Bulldogs "bubble" and those results won't be known until tomorrow.

Be A Symptomatic and give our players the virus, ...5 could lose limbs, or have strokes, or have heart damage, etc.
No way this game should go ahead.

100%. But the NRL are probably hog tied by dopey State Premiers who themselves are on a leash held by the "health officials" . A lot easier than having the guts to make your calls.

"A negative test, whether or not a person has symptoms, DOESN'T GUARANTEE that they aren't infected by the virus", said Lauren Kucirka, a co-author from John Hopkins University.

And he can continue to live with a family member who was definitely exposed and instructed to quarantine?

COVID-19 tests may yield false negative if used too early on infected people: Study

According to the scientists, patients who have a high-risk exposure should be treated as if they are infected, particularly if they have symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

Game should go on without Tolman.

Hope the NRL has deep pockets.
