  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters V Bulldogs

Let’s not be complacent. Let’s continue the momentum and the wonderful start we’ve had to the new competition.

Time to teach ‘The Family Club’ a lesson on how to play fast and mistake free footy. Time to make Coffs Harbour feel like a holiday destination. Time for Lindsay to show he’s a star every week. No Jarred no worries. Their front towers are the biggest slugs in the competition. Even Skinny Byrne could beat them in a foot race.

Dogs may not be a threat and strong wooden spoon contenders but don’t lose your hate for that filthy club. Them and their supporters are animals.

Let’s continue to build our for and against.

    Bring on the Dirty Dogs!

Dogs are a good team on paper...and won last week.
The track will be heavy and the game might be played in rain.
Hope we have some 'mud-runners' in our team who can get us home.

A very dangerous game for us, to be sure.
Very dangerous. Foran is a magician on his day.

No JWH, the other forwards will need to step up, for 80 minutes.

Our wingers must stay on their wings in defence, Dogs love to score tries there.

      Very dangerous.

Can't be thinking we just have to turn up.

        Let's go Chooks.

wow, you make them sound like back2back champions.
do we have any players that could possibly worry or beat them?

darn the chooks...dogs won't be pushover , they'll keep it tight till the 63 rd minute, chooks will score 1 try, another at the 72 nd both convered and a final try in the 78th. 22 point victory, 34 12 , the crystal ball has spoken.

I wanna say they are good on paper however, IMO they are a flawed team with some good players (and/or previously good players with potential to have a random blinder locked away). These include:
                - Hoppa
                - Watene-Zelezniak
                - Foran
                - Tolman
                - Big Pappi
                - Jackson

Beating the Dragons wasn't necessarily a massive achievement. I mean, they're now 3rd last thanks to the Titans having a PD of -103 after 5 games. It was a decent win though!

Like any NRL game, there's 2 teams, 16 players and ~80 minutes of footy. The Roosters have a habit of winning 59-0 and then getting beaten by a bunch of deadbeats the next week. It's just what you learn to expect as an Easts fan.

I hope we turn up with the right attitude coz when we don't, it's horrible to watch us. Unlike the Storm and Raiders, the refs won't show sympathy when we're not earning a win.

Technically we should lap them too. My gut feeling is bullchocks will have a go for a while and we should run away with it second half. The rain puts a question mark on how this game will go..probably a forwards battle..can see flanagan to steer the shio with a good short kicking game .we are farken good team lets not forget this team strength is to adapt and change to meet every challenge.

Bugger, I had my whole day planned around the game - we should sue them, then buy their club and make it our reserve grade team

The NRL has been forced to postpone Sunday afternoon’s Canterbury – Sydney Roosters game because of a coronavirus scare.

Bulldogs star Aiden Tolman’s children attend the Laguna Street primary school where a teacher has tested positive to coronavirus.

The game has been postponed until 7pm on Monday night on Fox Sports to allow Tolman to be tested for coronavirus.
