NRL clearly didn’t want to upset Storm, Souths and to lesser extent, Panthers. Not a good first decision from new management. Trust is earned, and the NRL trust tank is running on empty. Not good enough.

1) any player can now ignore social distancing rules knowing they will get a second chance
2) if there's a second wave of the virus the NRL will take some blame for not encouraging social distancing
3) if they were going to suspend the match suspensions they might as well have increased the numbers of matches to at least pretend that they meant business
"The players have a responsibility to the game and community. It is important that, in these challenging times, we all have to work together to combat COVID-19 and compliance with public health orders is a critical requirement," ARL Commission chair Peter V'landys said.
"The players have to understand that they are putting the game and the community at risk by their actions. It's certainly hard to accept such behaviour when the game is doing everything it can to persuade the community that its players are responsible and behave appropriately.
"The penalties have been structured so as to give these players one further opportunity to demonstrate that they can be trusted. If they contravene again, then those parts of the penalty that have been suspended will be activated and they may also be subject to further sanction."

One, not two or 7.
One, final warning. Can't be fairer than that.
The new absolutely stringent NRL rules are coming soon.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-28-2020, 05:38 PM.

The three who were at LM's property obviously broke social distancing rules. The bigger issue though is the fire arms offenses for which they have been charged with by the police. That alone should result in an ban from the NRL for at lease 2 games if not more. They also traveled over 200 Km to ride unregistered trial bikes on a beach without licenses. Fair dinkum what have they got to do to get more than a slap on the wrist.

> NRL players Latrell Mitchell and Josh Addo-Carr have been hit with firearms charges after a weekend getaway with about 10 men.
Seems like there's more to this. Latrell had a gun license and let everybody fire his guns during a piss-up at his farm? They then posted photos of it all over the internet.

Go back to the first page... I was willing to defend this guy if it was just a bit of camping with him and JAC. Nope. Sounds like they were doing a little bit of traditional hunting while they were at it :P

I never knew Nathan was such a pimp daddy.
He seemed a bit more straight laced than that.
But what a life! Literally having 5 hot blondes fighting over who gets to sit closest to your groin.
