And what’s wrong with Elton. I saw him in concert in January and he was absolutely fantastic. So what if he’s getting a little old. So am I.
From Elton's early life as a teen, how his life and music evolved, tour of US.
Clips of his concerts thru time.
I watched it all.
At the end I was convinced the he is one of the most talented musicians/singers etc who has ever lived.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-30-2020, 06:56 AM.

It certainly gives food for thought - read the Tele and shut up. That other serious stuff is nothing to do with me or you.
Here we have a trio or so of our fellow fans wanting to sound hip but succeeding only in identifying themselves as Silly Ol' Buggers still thrilling to twats like Barnsey and Elton John. Hellooo guys...21st Century is here and there are issues. The 3peat for one.
"Silly Ol' Buggers still thrilling to ......".
You betcha.
For me add Elvis (he was in uniform), Beatles, Roy Orbison, Dolly, Stones, Del Shannon, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, O C Smith, Hot Chocolate, Village People, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Michael Bolton etc.
Lest We Forget... indeed.
Lest We Forget... the legacy our people in uniform past and present have given us.
One such legacy is to be able to enjoy music.

fwiw you were always going to find it hard to recover after taking a lazy swipe at jfc. Don't worry about him - he's alright. sometimes he gets a bit grumpy through lack of sleep cos the reds under his bed keep him awake but he loves his league and his roosters.
but I for one welcome your contributions, particularly when they're about league. you know your shit.

One such legacy is to be able to enjoy music.except on Anzac Day), Rock and roll in it's purest form from the 1950's, folk music from the 1960's Joan Baez etc

And silly old bugger number 1, Jimmy Barnes was the driving force behind the concert last Saturday on channel 9 which entertained many lonely and isolated people and silly old bugger number 2, Sir Elton, has raised so much money for charity over the years, people have stopped counting. They use their time, finances and considerable clout and contacts wisely to benefit others.

Then there's the 100th birthday today "Silly old bugger" war veteran in Britain who thought he'd walk up and down his driveway pushing his wheeled frame to try to raise 2000 pounds to help with Covid war.
Raised 30 million pounds.
Has received 120,000+ birthday cards.
They've all been laid out in a hall.
Captain Tom Moore is his name.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-30-2020, 02:01 PM.

I was just channeling Hawkey for a laff, not intending to dis anyone. Bored I guess - this Groundhog Day shit. The irony is that an invisible microbe with an impulse, like every other living organism, to live and flourish, should have dominion over us and not the other way round as the Bible would have it. Keep safe all silly ol' buggers.
