  • Channel Nine gives the NRL (and Toddy No Mates) both barrels.

They did not miss. I'm calling whichever puddle of Rupert Murdoch's santorum is running Truth Limited is the one who blocked Nine out. Rupert is many things, most of them obscene, but he never lets a disaster go to waste.

Buzz has tweeted a small article about it. I had almost forgotten the days of so many ads I had forgot what I was watching.

        Get channel 7 on board.

          How dare you? (channel nine)

Taken their host broadcaster role for granted over the years. Delayed coverage until recent years, no coverage in some states or parts of the country. Queensland bias for scheduling, commentary and panel members.

          Ray Warren....say no more.

They should be bending over backwards to support the NRL getting our game back and not playing petty profiteering politix.

The sooner they are out of the game altogether the better.

Channel 9 sound like they are desperate to get out of their current contract which they massively overpaid for.
They should have demanded exclusive rights to the games they show each week instead of allowing Foxtel to show the same games.

Best the NRL decides what it wants to do about the rest of the season first...then meets with Fox and 9.
Fox and 9 didn't make their last payment, due recently, under the contract, reportedly.
If correct, is that a breach of contract?

First thing that has to be established is whether or not Fox and 9 want to televise the NRL at all.
9 ditched the cricket it had televised for decades.
It could just as easily ditch the NRL too.
Reportedly, Foxtel is losing subscribers at express pace because there's no NRL to watch.
                      Anything could happen.
If 9 and Fox don't want to televise NRL for a reasonable price, 7 and 10 could be approached.
                      They don't want it?
No worries, Gladys could start her own tv station and poach experts from the existing ones.

This article should clear a few things up regarding the motivation of the ridiculous and absurd statements given out by an anonymous nine spokesman today

                          No worries.
Have a call to 'arms'...all NRL fans to boycott 9....kick it to the kerb.
Turn the dial to 7 or 10.

                          Govt could start 'STV'...State TV.
Time to have the state own more things.

                              Totally different.
SFS is owned by the state.
Having the tv cameras owned by the state would be just fine too.

Workers' superannuation in Singapore all goes into a govt fund.
Safe, govt uses the money for the benefit of the people...and it's there for retirement.

                              STV a great idea.
