**** it gets worse..wifey might be out of a job too..daughter as well ......Ok is the cross still going? lol
On a serious note the NRL to clubs Corona money.
i dont know all the laws to this.
The only option I would impliment and you will not like it is.........
NRL should go into self insolvency ..What dregs are left portion out ...But set up a trust that no one can touch if thats possible befor the proces or after dont know.
All football clubs the same .
That deletes all contract and pay outs to players they will get a small percentage .
I havnt described it proper but you get the picture .
Start from scratch next year .That is only if we cant get this comp up and running again in a couple of months. I have doubts about it restarting this year.
I think it would be crazy for the NRL to prop up all the clubs because I think they will turn to dust anyway.
Fark!...I went to two centerlinks yesterday and 1 in every 2 had souffs jerseys on...do they get a second bite of the cherry or something...

Hi everyone. I didn't realise I still had access to the site. It's been a long time for me due to ill health. How about the B2B and yes, I bought more than one T-shirt. Today I was supposed to have been made redundant from a job I absolutely love as one senior person in my organisation thought it was cheaper to send my job to the Phillipines. Yesterday they decided to keep me on until Friday 1 May as the job I do assists those seeking medical roles currently on offer with a big medical provider and they need me because I am very good at what I do (same birthday as SBW so we aim high ) and I love what I do so it doesn't feel like work. I had 2 companies wanting to hire me (one so close to home in Bondi Junction with a CEO a Roosters fan) but they had to withdraw the roles at the last minute and put them on hold. I am not letting this get to me and every day I am grateful for whatever chances I can get. I've been getting up at 4.45am for 3 years to travel to North Sydney for this job (Bears are my work team and Roosters my home team ) and it looks like my next employer may be over there 2. People think I am nuts as the travel time back to North Rose Bay can take me 2 hours sometimes in the afternoons but I do not care. Today was my first ever day of working from home. Like some on here I am on the other side of 50 ( I won't say wrong side) and try and live simply but I know how some of you must be feeling right now and I just wanted to log on here to give you support and say my thoughts are with those who may be scared at the moment. I have one sister with diabetes age 71 and one with breast cancer age 64 but we remain positive and hopeful. Oh and what really is bugging me, finally I get to stay up after 9pm and now there is no Friday night footy against Souths....Keep calm and follow Easts... blessings to all of you that I have not seen or heard from in a long time. I mostly just see my buddies Horrie Hastings and Thirteen now and again..stay safe and well everybody

NRL wanted to give more money to some clubs than others...the 'others' objected. That plan didn't go ahead.

They're living in the real world of...no leagues club trading, maybe less sponsorship money, hopefully the Roosters will survive.
I'm more worried about the fans surviving

Thanks very much and I hope you and your family are well. It was so funny running into you at the airport even though we live around the corner from one another. BTW its dangerous working from home..I was stung by a bee in the kitchen yesterday at 6am and it went through the sleeve of my pjs and left a big mark..all those years of commuting and nothing happens.. might see you on my walks now..but keep your distance..

Playing catch up again, but sorry to learn of the news Brain and others on here. I hope everyone on here takes care and does whatever it takes to ride this thing out. People will have to be patient, hang tough and I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel, even though it may not seem that way yet.

News today suggests that all efforts are being made to re-start the season on 1 July. Not sure if that is feasible at this stage, but you never know. I do have a lot more confidence in the ARL Commission's new Chairman. He has the track record - it is about time that we have a decent administrator for once.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I found The Power of Positive Living in my book cupboard given to me by JFC for one of my birthdays. I've pulled it out to re-read and it's amazing how much I am getting out of it even though the man who wrote it was born in the late 1800's.

I'm looking for a gig now too at the worst possible time. Took a voluntary redundancy 2 years ago now the $$ are drying up, no super till I'm 60 in four more years.

Even in this thread Ive noticed people let their guard down a bit, and give some raw honesty. That's good and helpful as we are all fighting a battle in some way, shape or form.

We will bounce back as a country and as individuals. But never be the same again. There is potential for a greater appreciation for what we have (or had).

But more than anything I hope we all treat each a bit better, and nurture respect and kindness. Unkindness can't survive against kindness. A small act or word can change someone's whole experience.

Look after yourselves and your loved ones. And that person you don't really know, they might need a hand.
The job market is opening up again this week Jack as the Easter break is over. I applied for couple more today even though I have some on hold as you never know what is around the corner. My shares have gone up again in value as well from the last time I looked so keep the faith. Please let me know how you get on. My email address is still the same and dumb phone still has the same number. I am still in the 9% of Australians who don't have a smart phone..I am smart enough as it is...

                      .
Jack, you may be entitled to early access to your Super. I'm hoping I don't have to go down that road but I'm preparing all the documents just in case as my job finishes up on Friday. The wheels are in motion and things are happening as we speak as Jerry said to Babu. We still have to laugh instead of cry:
