We have had up to 50 events/gigs cancelled. Tough times. Gotta hang in there. Stay Safe all and stay isolated as best you can

          Not necessarily.
A week is a long time these days.
The bald man with the beard (survey says women prefer men with beards) ...and Dr V have both said today that they think the NRL can be saved and it might be possible to save all the clubs.

Said that if the comp does resume this season it will look much different from how it started out.

It's never over til it's over.

That's not good mate, hang in there.

I'm looking for a gig now too at the worst possible time. Took a voluntary redundancy 2 years ago now the $$ are drying up, no super till I'm 60 in four more years.

Even in this thread Ive noticed people let their guard down a bit, and give some raw honesty. That's good and helpful as we are all fighting a battle in some way, shape or form.

We will bounce back as a country and as individuals. But never be the same again. There is potential for a greater appreciation for what we have (or had).

But more than anything I hope we all treat each a bit better, and nurture respect and kindness. Unkindness can't survive against kindness. A small act or word can change someone's whole experience.

Look after yourselves and your loved ones. And that person you don't really know, they might need a hand.

I planned on retiring at the end of this year.
I'm not game to check my super balance - may have to put our plans on hold for awhile.
I'm lucky I still have a job; for now anyway.
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
                        It's called experience.

Think this is a bit much , I get it's up to the individual but not sure they are living in the real world

You are a good mate Brain, so sad to hear about your predicament, give me a call if you wanna chat.....

And to all the other Chooks and Chookettes who have fallen on hard times due to the god damn awful recent events, hang in there, talk to your loved ones or someone who will listen, there is hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel.....

                                Clubs are sinking fast.
NRL wanted to give more money to some clubs than others...the 'others' objected. That plan didn't go ahead.

They're living in the real world of...no leagues club trading, maybe less sponsorship money, hopefully the Roosters will survive.
