Flanno will be halfback next week no question. He missed 1 tackle that I saw last night threw the pass to Manu who scores but it is then given no try by the video ref. The knock on call against him when he got crunched by Walker was the wrong call. His kicking game last night was sub standard but if you don't compare him to Cronk & remember he is 21 & that he has played only 12 FG games I think he is going pretty good. It's all Latrells fault not Kyles we lost because if he was playing for us he would be the goal kicker & he would have kicked the goal Kyle missed.
This weeks homework for Kyle will be goal kicking practice & field possession kicks practice.

He's no DCE (of vintage, late 2019 and maybe this year) but he shouldn't have to be within our structures.

2 Close losses where I reckon a few 50:50's coulda gone our way. We get Cords and J-Moz next week. When things start to click we'll all look a lot better.

There were more experienced players than Flanagan who didn't cut the mustard,

        Radley, Liu, Keary, Iku, ......

All that field position and he delivered wrong option or error after error.
Dude relax, you want me to send you a quarter?

I laughed a lot last night, but he's a rookie learning new structures and calls, he'll fark up even more moving forward you watch, probably even cost us a game or two. But that's what rookies do.

To be brutally honest I cannot get excited about this season. As long as the putrid vermin are one of the 15 failures, I couldn't give a fark who wins this year.

          Chook.

I’m still predicting we (the royal we) won’t see the end of the season. There’ll be a lockdown if/when there’s a spike in cases of that virus in Australia

Chook mate...some of it is just taking the piss because the usual suspects on here slaughtered a young local junior after a handful of games last year but are quick to hail Flanagan as a superstar cause he was some kind of big name signing.

Even comments like Lam is a hog. FFS he didnt pass the ball once in that game last year and butchered a try yet now he is a hog.

              That will do me.

I’m not saying Lam is the answer but it sure as hell isn’t Flanagan..

I think we are on a rare untity ticket here mate.

I can't work out why a few are so harsh on Lam.

He's a solid defender, dangerous attacker and pretty tough. Has a kicking game.

The two main arguments trotted out are he is a hog...yes he didn't pass to Teddy once and has made a couple of similar misjudgments in CC. He also has set up many tries and finished them too. Had a killer combo with Sitili. Don't seem to here about those.

The other one is he would have made it by now if he was going to....I'm not sure who they wanted him to be ahead of Cronk, or Keary. He was in scintillating form in CC last year but got injured just when an opportunity opened up, and Hutch got the gig. And kept it later after getting some runs on the board.

I love a half that threatens the line with speed and evasion. We haven't had many of those lately bar Keary.

Of course give Flanagan some patience and time, but Lam should get at least the same respect.

Our defense has been not too bad but it’s our attack that is out of kilter and we need to make adjustments and work hard on gelling with Flanno. He’s obviously not settled with our style yet and it will take a while before he clicks with the right coaching and who is our attack coach? Cronk isn’t it? So give Cronk a chance to remould us into the same attacking weapon with our new half. I think a bigger problem is the ruck. We need Verrills there - he simply gets the attack working more smoothly. Put Verrills in and our attack will be dangerous once again.

TBH Jack I actually agree that Flanagan should be given time. Not sure if it will end well but here’s hoping.

I was at the ground in St Helens for the WCC and watching from up close he seemed very rushed in his decision making. Almost Pearce-esque.

I also think a lot of people on here have a tendency to always lean to a new signing rather than give our young guys more of a chance. I guess I’m the opposite and much rather see some of our exciting talent given a go.

People who matter don't think Lam is the answer. They just went back to back. I am happy to trust them on it.

Let’s hope they are right on this one...

and its not another Brett Firman episode.

Wait and see with Flanagan. I thought he looked okay but obviously a way to go.

It’s gonna be our opponents game plan this year, rush up on our halves and cut down their decision making time.

I would like to see both halves kicking game improve
                                ..it’ll be interesting to see
