The game in North Queensland to open the new stadium was a particularly powerful play given the significance on so many parts.

Pete the Greek surely can’t punt him now

With all that's been revealed, ...what Mr
Greenberg has presided over...surely the renewal of his contract would be in serious doubt.

            IMO he's not leaving.

He's replaced the previous CEO purely because he's partial to Fox. The previous CEO made a commercial decision to award channel 9 a FTA contract for all games, forcing Fox to spend more $$$ for exclusivity and the board (mostly Fox cronies) rolled him for it. It was never a merits-based appointment....

So long as he remains partial to Fox's agenda, he'll be painted as a tough war hero no matter what he does. Purely a puppet role. What Fox fears is that while they're ostensibly in charge right now... if they lose their board numbers, they'll lose their product.

            So...
            - Is Fox gonna stop paying their bills? Hell no coz they'd lose their board seats!
            - Is Greenturd going? Hell no coz Fox trust him to 'do the right thing'.
            - Will everything change? No.

As Gwen [Sandra Bullock] said to her boyfriend [in the movie 28 Days] when she returned from rehab, and he took her back to the bar and all their drinking friends, and she wanted change and a better life:

              "Everything has to be different".

              Change at the NRL?
              Everything has to be different.

              Everything.
              One ref instead of two.
Independent perusal...Trent says in his interview on Roosters website.

I would say he was saved by the virus, ironically.
