Seriously it's a Rugby League forum, no one cares about your opinions on politics or religion.

Am I the only one noticing this of late?
You’re wrong man. It’s more than “a rugby league forum”. It’s a community of humans interfacing and interacting, with our love of Easts being our only thing in common. Outside of this it’s a genuine cross-section of society mixing it up real-style.

If this forum changed into one where all dialogue was limited to RL and RL only, I’d be like “see ya”. Talk about robotic and bland.

A forum and an online community are not mutually exclusive. I don't disagree that the collection of people on here form a community brought together by a common interest in the greatest club to grace the land. But there were other forums created on here for a reason where anyone can discuss whatever topics they would like, plenty I've also contributed to in the past - including political discussions.

My issue is not with non rugby league related discussion itself but with rugby league topics in a rugby league forum being constantly derailed by off topic discussion.

A thread about Billy Smith's injury disintegrating into insults about a prime minister and religion after only a dozen posts does not make this place less "robotic and bland".

If you want to slag Scomo or give your opinions on religion all power to you, I just don't care about it when I'm trying to read through a thread about Billy Smith or any of the other hundred odd threads that has been derailed by such chatter over the past 6-12 months.

Brien Seeney, NRL Physio, The Daily Telegraph

.....................Young centre Smith was looking at a full time role in the Roosters backline after the departure of Latrell Mitchell, but will now have to delay his anticipated breakout season until at least 2021 after suffering the 2nd ACL injury of his career in a training collision. Smith’s most recent ACL injury was to his “good” knee after suffering his first in 2018. Unfortunately there is an increased risk for further ACL injury (in both knees) after an athlete has suffered an ACL rupture. With this in mind and considering Smith’s age (19 years old) the Roosters had taken slightly longer with Smith’s rehab in 2018 (nine months as opposed to their standard seven months) in an effort to prevent further injury. Unfortunately this was not to be, and despite the Roosters looking likely to have a run into the finals again this year it would be surprising to see Smith return before 2021.

                      Wonder how he is going?
I so hope that he recovers 100% & makes it back to 1st grade.

We needed one for this year. The pack is much better with Angus in it. Brett Morris and Hall are also injury prone.

This has potentially slowed down his recovery as I'm not sure if he can access the same physiotherapy or preform the same recovery program he could by attending Roosters HQ. I think Trent mentioned this in one of his interviews when he discussed how self isolation effects the players.

I'm sure he has video calls with the physios and they've adapted a plan for home but won't be as efficient as it normally is.

In overseas/ex-rooster news Mose Masoe was doing great in his rehabilitation program and started walking again but that has been halted as he has been sent home due to coronavirus precautions. He was on track to be able to walk by himself on crotches but this will delay it - he seems in good spirits though

I was being extremely silly , just a joke on the fact we may never play JMoz and Billy will be back next year.
But I truly hope JMoz does play on , for me it will be awesome to have him as a mentor for Billy

Thanks NorthChook - I hadn't heard that news on big Mose but it's uplifting to hear that he is/was walking again. I hope he continues to make great progress from home.
