People who think we can start the season slowly and make it up as we go along need to sit on a chair in a dark room and think deeply about it.

Be on zero points after 3 rounds...maybe last on the ladder...with no Cronk and no Latrell.

It's not a sprint, it's a long arduous season. Cop some losses here and there but stay in touch. Have your main energy peaking for August thereafter.

Some Trivia

The recent years we won the Premierships we have lost round 1

Round 1 2013 28-10 Souths won
Round 1 2018 10-8 Tigers won
Round 1 2019 26 -16 Souths won

And back in 2002 we had only 1 win and 4 loses from the first 5 rounds

They now have the NRL's leading point scorer from 2019 playing for them.
They seem to get 9-3 penalty counts or similar in their favour more often than not...plus the majority of the 50-50 decisions seem to go their way.

I agree wholeheartedly although I don't buy into the whole 'round one we were rusty' crap or 'oh, its only round one'. If we lose round one, another team wins. They were not rusty.
