Roosters - the best league team since the 60s

Its time to resurrect this discussion.
I personally believe I'm seeing the best Roosters team (including coaching staff) of my lifetime.
The way that Robbo balances our effort is genius.
The pure talent and freedom that we play with.
At times watching Keary, Teddy, Moz, Toups link up is like watching a rep team.

The Chooks are pretty much a rep team.
Flanno, Butcher & Collins are the only 3 who havnt played rep footy.

Ok, so theres been talk of the Storm being a better team than the Roosters. Thats just not true.

I would argue that if we win in 2020, we will be the best Rugby League team since the Dragons of the 60s (they won 11 premierships in a row).

So lets take a look at the contenders:

Parramatta of the 80s: 4 premierships (3 in a row) and 3 minor premierships
Broncos of the 90s: 5 premierships (2 sets of back to back, though one was during Super League, so questionable) and 4 minor premierships
Storm since 2006: 2 premierships (2 were stripped) 4 minor premierships (3 were stripped)
Roosters of the 2010s: 3 premierships (including a back to back) and 4 minor premierships.

So lets say we win 2020, our record will be: 4 premierships (including 3 in a row) and 4 minor premierships.

My thoughts are that we have already outdone the Storm and we will have outdone Parramatta.

My question is, will we have outdone the Broncos of the 90s? Does 3 in a row beat 2 back to back (especially since one of these was during Super League)? They also have an extra premiership (Super League though).

If we will have outdone the Broncos of the 90s (i believe we will have), we will have been the best team since the Dragons of the 50s / 60s.

You're talking about really great sides and you leave out the 74 75 Roosters , the greatest club side of all time. Special mention also to the 35 36 and 37 Roosters who lost 1 game in 3 seasons.

I think we will go on and win 5 grand finals in a row.

We are the best team at the moment.
10 years ago it was Manly and Melbourne
In the 90s I would say Brisbane, Manly and Canberra
In the 80s it be Parramatta, Canterbury
in the 70s Manly and us

Saints record will never be broken, not even we will manage it but we will get to 5 in a row.

If the Roosters achieve the 3 peat, then we will eclipse what Parramatta did in the 80's and there will be a direct comparison of our side to the Dragons of the 60's.
I have rifled through the history books - its there.
It would be great to compare the Roosters to the benchmark football team of rugby league.
Need to achieve the 3 peat first.
