I said this time and time again earlier this year that despite how poor the ESL defence is, he would make it in the NRL.
He would be top priority if I were in charge, unfortunately im not so we will most likely sign someone like Michael Bani to replace Mini.

He did enough for me in last years Test against Australia. He seems to have improved a fair bit since then.

why would we gamble on a highly paid englishmen when we just signed the next benji marshall in scheck? Have some faith in our young..especially someone so highly rated. Yes you could say both are a gamble but one is a whole heap younger and cheaper...more importantly..on our books.

Well...because he is a proven performer at (arguably) the highest level of the game.
If Scheck is the next Benji Marshall, he would hardly be an ideal Mini replacement.

On Morley, is he retiring soon? He had next to no impact in that game and looked a shadow of his former self.

Not for me. Just a touch too old. 31 yes. But 33? If we wanted someone a bit older, the only one I would approach would be Laffranchi. Great in club football, cracking work rate and won't be touched around Origin time.

Peacock should have come to us when Morley did, we would easily have won the 2003 and 2004 GF's. He like Morley during that time was a weapon, but they are both shadows of when they were at their peak.

I think the comparisons to Benji made regarding RTS are simply based on the step he can produce. You would have to think he or Henare Wells would be in line for the fullback spot when it eventually opens up. That looks like the plan at least. So if we were to actually get Tomkins would he be as effective at 6? I haven't seen enough of him to make any sort of educated judgement on that, so what are people's thoughts?

you rarely get it in a losing side but he should have been MOM IMO.
