Fred. I have made no secret of the fact that I consider management is the biggest problem at the Roosters, and it is those people who make the decisions regarding the likes of Smith, Anasta etc etc.

Roosters management have operated as an almighty fifedom for many years, and are answerable to no one. It is akin to private ownership even though we are not privately owned.

But unlike you, I don't shoot the minions just because they are an easier target. They are there because the fifedom want them there. And if and when the fifedom no longer have any use for them, they will be cast aside, just like all the others. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen.

And then you'll have a new round of easy targets you won't be happy with to bag and criticise.

Actually I blamed management for the Wanka being at the Roosters as well. I always acknowledged it was not his fault that the Roosters threw ludicrous amounts of money at him to lure him to Bondi.

It was about the only thing I didn't blame him for in 2008 and 2009. He had every right to take advantage of the outrageous fortune that came his way.

Maybe they encourage the wrong mentality Greedy. It seems to be that near enough is good enough. And a couple of good games a year appears to get a new and improved contract.

The coach can't get on the field and win it for them either, but we tend to turn them over every couple of years due to lack of performance.

If you are refering to that immature little pisshead of a beer can Carney, you need you head read as to the 'best player' award.

Whilst he was good last season this season he was a pedestrian.

Happy Carney is gone.

On Anasta, I think he is worth every cent for his work both on and off the field. Great player. Great clubman. I hope he gets another two years.

It's management that keeps extending his contract Greedy, which they are not forced to do. Braith has every right to ask, but they don't have to agree. I defend Anasta because he is one player that actually gives a shyte about the club and does his best to represent it in the best way possible, on and off the field.

Fact is, he is at the Roosters whether I defend him or loathe him. You and I don't control those decisions. Frustrating as it is, that's for others to decide. And disappointingly, those decisions aren't always the right ones.

If Braith left our club tomorrow I'd wish him the best for the future and move on. But while he's here, I'll support him. I have no reason not to.

Back on topic - I can't believe so many of you are so gullible that you buy a PR/feelgood/general interest story on Anasta playing golf and take it as gospel. Anasta was a 6 marker a year or so ago. To get down to +1 is a pretty extraordinary feat. No doubt he has excellent hand/eye coordination and is one of those blokes that is very good at most sports (please no football cracks). However, to suggest that he is now going to turn professional and make a living as a touring professional is simply ridiculous. The difference between a solid amateur (yes solid, he is not even close to being a top or outstanding amateur) is tremendous. Braith has absolutely no chance of making it as touring professional. He might be good enough to play a few pro-am events and make a few lousy bucks. He may even make a cut in a 4 day Australasian event. However, what would be the point of him struggling along like that. Just nonsense if you ask me and once again most of you have taken this media bait hook, line and sinker.

Hey, at least I only usually whinge about one thing - management. And as a female, I am compelled to whinge about soemthing. Just be thankful I've limited myself. It could be a lot worse.

And quite frankly, if I supported the players based on their performances alone, there'd be slim pickings to support in recent times.
