In today's SMH article:
"Club bosses were told earlier this month by the NRL that Souths, Brisbane, Parramatta or Canberra in the grand final would be a financial success, while the Roosters, Storm, Manly or Cronulla would likely lower profit expectations.
A potential Souths-Roosters blockbuster would be the best possible result for the NRL given the bitter history, and McCarthy said the three games between the historic clubs this season would have the Roosters concerned"
This was always assumed the NRL wanted certain teams to make/win the grand final - here is evidence that it is discussed openly and to the clubs by the NRL. No doubt now that referees would be swayed towards certain teams to give them some extra help.
Although according to this statement, the NRL would prefer to have the Roosters win this weekend in the hope of a Roosters-Souths Grand Final
How can you have a fair competition when preferences of who wins the comp is spoken openly by the governing body?

jwh had 5 games of in 2019 and we lost two of those games. Thats a 60% win ratio without him. That to me is alot more realistick.EASTS TO WIN!

JWH missed 6 games this year, and there was only one bye. We won 4 of those, so that's 67%. The two games we lost during his absence, Keary was also out. We had a 50% winning ratio when Luke was out.

Ticket sales seem to be going well - Roosters bays sold out, Cat 1 and 2 single seats only, Cat 3 only has tickets for no more than 3 seats at a time - while the Storm supporters bay seems far from full with you still being able to buy 8 seats at time.
Good weather should see a lot of late tickets sold around the Fri/Sat
Update: seems they have added more seats to Cat 1/2/3 as they are no longer single seats only. I think as a sales tactic they don't allocate all seats in a bay unless its quite full and there is opportunity to sell more (eg like the final against souths the first few rows of some of they bays were empty - I suppose if they have plenty of seats left they'll leave space to sell to sponsors/advertising if they can)Last edited by NorthChook; 09-25-2019, 03:43 PM.

Now that we're likely to lose the game without him, maybe he could use the rest of the week to impart his style on to Collins, Tauko, Liu etc.
Surely our coaches and players can view tapes and see what JWH does...and slot SST into his role, to play the same as he does.
Surely we don't have to have 5 degrees from Harvard to figure it out.
