You dont get to be the Premiers after beating tough arse Cronulla, South & the Storm being goodie goodies.
How many of our players in the current team or in the last few years been caught for eye gouging, squirrel gripping or even pulling hair?

Im not sure what you’re watching but last week I saw Souths players going for the man instead of the ball in defending bombs... i think Johns highlighted at half time. They were also head slamming our players... it wasn’t one by accident, it was happening often. And none of these were being pulled up by the refs...Bennett knows he doesn’t have the players so he’s game plan is to use spoil tactics.

Now you want to claim that this sport is for tough men... how many of our players have done what I stated in the first paragraph? Are these the tough men you talk about? Is that the kind of players you think we have?

I don’t mind someone being objective but I think you’re on this crusade to try to be objective to whatever anyone says bad about another team BUT in particular if someone says anything against Souths and you’re actually not reading the comments. You immediately jump huffing and puffing in how our team is just as bad or worse than the other team. What does it have to do with you?

I think one additional thing, I noticed watching side on, that we need to Respond to is that in their 20m zone defending, the inside and edge defenders were rushing Cronk and second receivers with fast line speed.Fullback in the line.

Cronk needs to put them in doubt using short kicks behind the line. Repeat sets. To hold them.

They will slow the play down for recovery time from this high energy approach they have in defence, we need to keep the ball in play as much as we can

Unfortunately I'm not. I play rep touch in Vawdon Cup about the same time tomorrow night. Probably better not to know during the match as I'm pretty nervous during finals. But I will be on here tomorrow night later regardless of the result. I have learnt you guys and gals are quite a nice bunch of Roosters.

I reckon you must be going, Thirteen.
Yes mate. Three generations of Chook in my family. My kids and Dad will be joining me.

Just don’t refer to PRIDE as a Souths supporter. Refer to him as an honorable Rooster.

              A couple of things
Firstly, I love the game of footy first, I then love the Roosters, I then like all the other teams. I dont hate Souths like you do. So we see things different & thats good.
Secondly, mine & your outlook & how we interpret the game are different & thats good too. Footy to me is legal violence & I like that, I like seeing rough tough violent footy knowing that the boys playing it also like it rough tough & violent some love it.
Footy from 1908 & onwards has always been violent, dirty, rough. When I was 5 or 6 going to the Sports ground with my pop & dad 45 years ago they would tell me stories about the brutality that they had witnessed watching the game in the 1910's 1920's 1930's 40's & 50's so I have always just accepted elbows, head highs, biting, gouging & what ever else blokes have done. Would I like it done to me? Of course not because Im not aggressive enough but I believe all the players playing NRL have an underlining aggressive violent tough rough nature & love the outlet of League to be able to participate in legal violence. Do I like violence on the streets or violence against women & children? certainly not but I do like legal organised violence ie footy, boxing, UFC.

              Glory Glory to the Roosters

You lost me with that footy first roosters second bit.

So if it was better for the game for Souffs to beat us in a GF you would go for Souffs?

That's a massive surprise and I think you would have to be just about the only one here that doesn't put our club first.

That’s a beautiful story Mickey, honestly, and I respect your view on things, however why does it matter to you that myself, or any other member has a negative view when we call Souths grubs? I can appreciate it if you express it now and then but it’s waaaay too often. It’s not the burrow so what’s with that?

The Roosters play tough. They’re not grubs like the Raiders, Storm or the Vermin with negative tactics... I can just see the vermin rolling around the field like soccer players or being carried out on the stretcher only to get up once they receive a penalty... It’s what Bennett has them doing nowadays.

                  Anyway Go The Chooks!
