And as for the difficulty of watching a game at the SCG, and apart from the first game against the vermin, we seem to have adapted to the ground and have made this into a temporary fortress because we are scoring plenty of points. If we keep it up into the next few seasons when the GF is going to be played there, we’ll be hard to beat there and a few more premierships could come our way.

I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but I just love watching the game from level 4 of the Bradman Stand. Brings back memories of watching the match of the day there in the 60s and 70s from the old Noble Stand.

That’s where I saw my first Roosters game - the 1968 semifinal against St George. I that’s the only time I was ever on the hill.

Definitely! Not my kinda music but it creates a mood/ambience that we have ALWAYS lacked during home games. Excellent addition!!!

One of the worst things about watching games in Canberra is that their DJ/MC is an absolute wanka (and that fukking horn is even worse). BUT... but... it's part of their cauldron and we never seem to beat them in Canberra. Go figure. ANYTHING is better than nothing. You've gotta own your home stadium, not just play games there!

Metallica’s “enter sandman” over the p.a system at origin was brilliant, shat all over Guy Sebastian’s effort

You and me both. My poor eyes are taking a battering looking into that sun all afternoon, especially as the sun was setting after 4pm. Thankfully I'd thought to put a cap in my footy bag - much as I detest wearing the bloody things. And my warm jacket was thrown on the spare chair next to me before the game even started and didn't put it back on - I felt like a roasting chook at one stage!

The fact we are stuck looking at the small screen really peeves me - they should instal one of the Allianz huge ones instead of that piddly one they have. After all it's not as if you have a great view of the live game itself.

Something needs to change in the off season seriously. 3 more years of this and our membership numbers will definitely spiral downwards.

Totally agree. The whole seating arrangement has been geared to what looks good on TV, with the season ticket holders who actually attend matches, getting a raw end of of the deal. Why you would put supporters who have spent the last 20 years in the shade at Allianz in the glaring sun at the SCG defies logic to everyone other than Roosters membership/marketing.

I watched it up top of the MA Noble stand with a mate. I took a battery operated little Sony tape recorder for commentary but was overwhelmed by the crowd noise. The tape only went 5 minutes anyway. My high hopes for that year were dashed, but lot's of fond moments in 1968.

I was back down on the Hill for the Grand Final between Souths and Manly.
