I’d like to see Hall have a game or two in reserve grade before he plays first grade again, so ikuvalu this week. I think they’ll both fit during origin with Hall on the wing and iku in the centres with Morris at fullback

By the looks of things come Origin time our back line will probably look like a little something like this.

      1. BMoz
      2. Toops
      3. Ikavalu
      4. Manu
      5. Hall
      6. Lam
      7. Coops

Many teams would be happy with that as their 1st choice back line.

Morris has it over Hall for mine.

          Lam is out.
It will have to be Lamb

While Ikavalu's game has generally been quite good, including putting in big efforts in running the ball out of our end, his goal line defence still leaves somewhat to be desired. Given Robbo's strong preference for solid defensive players, I won't be surprised if Hall is named on the right wing this afternoon.

Ikuvalu & Toops are the wingers for the Newcastle game.
                Cordners back.
Reserves Butcher, Tetevano, Aubusson, Sitilli. Collins on stand by for SST.
Kurt Mann is 5/8 for the Knights, Watson on the bench.

Let’s hope Bmoz is playing soon. Origin isn’t that far away.

Really? I reckon his D has been rock solid. Commentators love him too... they were saying stuff like 'he's great because he comes to the ball, he doesn't wait for it to come to him'.

For a vertically challenged dude, Ikuvalu has a great leap and a knack for snatching the ball under pressure. Love the guy!!!

Typically ignorant reply to an intelligent well thought out first post by goose. Enjoy the egg on your face Kelvin.

To be fair your post shows less rational thinking & intelligence, Ms Morris?

Interesting that Hall got an immediate selection to test out his knee. I thought he did well under the circumstances.

He is a big guy and yet to find his feet despite his metres gained on debut. I think he will pick up his pace and flexibility in weeks to come.

Right now he might be suspect to turning and chasing the kick behind. Mind you Tupou is not one who excels in that department either, but Ikivalus has improved there after some heart in mouth moments earlier on.

In general play his D fine. I may be focussing too much on one game a few weeks back where he failed to make a couple of one on one tackles that resulted in tries. I like him as a player, but I'm sure both Hall & Morris will overtake him as soon as they are both fit and have some footy under their belt.

While Matt I has improved out of sight recently, I still cringe when he has the ball in his hands coming out of our end - that's when he tends to make a mistake, leading to a scrum to the opposition in great attacking position.

I agree with Waylander, Hall or Morris will take Matt's position in the team once they have regained proper match fitness.
