I challenge you to pick one team that finished above us whose backs are as slow as ours, and whose kicking game is as poor as ours.

In terms of speed

Tigers
Ayshford, Utai, Brown, Moltzen, Ryan... only Tuiquri is a noted speedster and even he's starting to loose his pace.

Warriros

Tupou, Vatuvei, Brown, Berrigan, Inu.... again only Locke as the genuine speedster

Newcastle
Gidley, Mcmanus, Sau, Macdougal.... again only Uate the genuine speedster

Souffs
Only Nathan Merritt as a noted speedster

Nth QLD
Bowen has lost his speed, Ash Graham?

I think you could even argue sides like Brisbane & Melbourne.

Not sure what speed has to do with having a collection of good outside backs though, Jamie Lyon, Justin Hodges & Greg Inglis are the best centres going round and I wouldn't call any of them exceptionally quick, arguably Inglis.

NIghtingale, Perrett & Uate the best wingers with only Uate being recognised as a genuine speedster.

Knights have Uate - Gids, Mcdoogal, Sau far from fast backline

I think ur placing too much emphasis on only speed and most teams
dont have more than 1-2

Dragons: Morris, Knightingale, Cooper, Gasnier, Boyd, Soward are all faster than our outside backs.


The other teams may not have as many but the point is each team has a few players than are faster than any of our outside backs. We have the slowest outside backs in the competition.

We are incapable of countering a compressed defence by spreading the ball and running around them, or kicking ahead and being first to the ball. Until that is solved we will be back at 2006 blaming Finch, our forwards, the coach, and the phase of the moon.
