If the Roosters were to relocate or merge with another club I would never watch another game of League in my life, I would have zero interest

Anyway, I cant see us being anywhere near being a candidate for relocating. The Roosters are Sydney now.
Making the Homebush rabbitohs bugger off would make more sense

NRL to have powers to force clubs to relocate under clause in licensing agreement
#####
Yes, and we would have the right to get a bank of lawyers and challenge that clause in the courts!.
The NRL wants the power to relocate clubs should they find themselves in financial trouble under a new clause in the game's licensing agreement that is set to rock the competition.
Under the proposed ''perpetual'' licence agreement, clubs face the risk of folding if they do not meet a certain financial threshold and reject the NRL's bid to relocate.
#####
That says 'financial trouble' only.
We/clubs need to read that "perpetual licence agreement" very carefully before signing...read the fine print.

> The Roosters football entity made a $715,054 net profit from $30m revenue last year, according to documents recently lodged with the corporate regulator, though it only achieved that result after a $3.28m grant from the Easts Group leagues club.
LOL can somebody introduce me to their accountant?

But remember the ground could become souffs, sharks or dragons home ground too.
We need active memberships.
We need to get the woy woy area included as easts junior catchment, and go to court and get the areas stolen from us in the redistribution back.

The biggest concern for us is playing at the SCG for the next 3 seasons, or possibly longer.
Whilst winning will always be good for business, it's crowd numbers that will get the bandwagon moving faster.
Sydney FC have been clever in playing games at boutique Stadiums. Easts should consider doing the same.
Our supporter base live all over town so why not play around town on the odd occasion.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
