Way too many errors but some potential there if we can work on our defense a lot more. Only a trial game but a long way to go. They’ll improve.

I don't rate Hutchinson overly highly but when he came on he showed with his range of passing just how far Lam & Lamb have to go in their development as halves.

Cronk's replacement either directly or indirectly (with Keary moving to 7) will be an interesting sub plot this season. I imagine we will get a glimpse into the future around Origin time.

Ikavalu did a couple of good things tonight. But did anyone else stand out? Apart from the commentator.

I thought Collins was solid without being dominant. His clean up defense was good. Curran tried hard. You'd hardly know Crichton was SOO but he was saddled with the captaincy of a team of juniors. Lam showed glimpses. Kepu had a shocker marred by poor decision making. Butcher was a let down in a game he could have controled better. I would have probably made him captain to get him running more plays.

Pooasa remains an enigma. Not too much to write home about and a shame we did not have a little more experience around the spine. The only thing to take out of this trial was the first grade spots aren't under challenge. And that's a worry.
