Many here talk about loyalty from the players to the club, which is rare, but we are often not loyal to players, i.e. Mini, so when someone like Carney comes in with potential to win us trophies and yet behaves in a manner that embarrass es us, i really have no loyalty to the guy. Better now that well into the 2012 season. The only thing I would say about the announcement is that it came during this period. I would have preferred well into summer so we could hardly give a toss.

Tell me, if he was a lesser player would you all be so up in arms? He's talented. I was a massive fan, but as soon as he thought he was bigger than this club he lost me. He's a 25 year-old, unapologetic, dickhead who will blame anything and anyone for his 'problems'.
We could have had something special with him, but he threw it away and if he can't make sacrifices for the club, the club doesn't have to make any more sacrifices for him.
Stop moaning over him like clingy girls who got dumped by a commitment-phobic bad-boy who broke your heart. We were never going to change him.
TC had choices, he made the wrong ones. Has done in the past, and probably will continue to in the future. He cannot change the person he ultimately is.
Management has made the right decision. Congratulations to them for finally making the hard call. The easy one would have been to listen another round of BS from the bloke, and risk another season of uncertainty and division.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Even when he screwed twice, they still kept him and watts was shown the door before he was even found guilty!
The club just as much to blame as carney himself.

Thinking back to 12 months ago, who'd have thought it'd end like this
But it has, and I say fark him.
Don't care if he plays with another NRL club, don't care where he goes. His bullshit pledges and promises notwithstanding, he never had any real feelings for the Roosters. Sure, everyone's happy and loves the joint when things are going well, but it's when they're not that you find out who's who.
He provided the attacking spark that has been missing since Freddy, but there's no guarantee that he'll ever regain the playing ability that he had. A couple of injuries, maybe lose a yard of pace...
Bye Todd
No more farkwits pls Nick...

I say best of luck to him.
I happily rode the Carney express last year.
Just a kid who couldn't quite make the standards required of the players at our club in 2011.
In years gone by he would've been just fine, he could've rolled out of the pubs at all hours of the day and night with the rest of RL players.
He could've broken the law and no one would've known...Phil Gould told all in an article he wrote 'recently'...players drunk in Kings Cross back streets, arrested, but their mates going with them to the cop shop for help and support.
Players with criminal records of all types.
Many things were covered up.
There was an unwritten law.
Today the 'unwritten law' has become the 'written law', written in the papers 24/7, complete with pictures!Last edited by bondi-boy; 09-10-2011, 11:24 AM.
