    Sounds like another David Brent.

And the one who wanted Griffin at the Riff and then punted him when the team was in the top 4, because Griffin had the same persona he had when he arrived at the club but it no longer suited Gould. Go figure.
It's always been in and around Nathan Cleary. Gus is besotted by him.
Griffin got punted because Nathan wasn't a fan of his and that basically meant a gun was against Gould's head. What Nathan wants he gets including Dad who's on more $$$ than before.

It brings the salary cap into light when you've got a situation like that ay?

Horrible decision to have a father and son situation going on regardless. But like, there's no way of proving that money technically for the coach isn't being transferred to his son in an attempt to give Nathan a pay bump without hurting the cap.

Fark they are a bunch of drongos and Greenturd's an even bigger drongo if he allows it. Whatevz though I guess...so long as the Riff continues to phail I have no dramas.

I can't see the new Hasler era at Manly ending with anything but tears. When I see that Penn it makes me all the more happy we have Nick and the Board on our side.

Manly are screwed here. Barrett has a contract to be head coach. He can't be demoted without breaching the contract. He really has those idiots over a barrel.

More fool Gould then. And the Riff, who are paying out millions in compo to coaches who they sack when under contract - including the one they want back now! Talk about financial mismanagement. And yet Gould talks himself up as some sort of saviour out west.

I reckon the sack Robbo joke is a bit old now.

We've had two refs for a while, Manly are now going with two coaches?

So much for Gus' 5 year plan that's going on to 8 years - HAHAHA.

Just think mate, only a few months ago many on here wanted the Father Son team to replace Trent and Coops.

The Riff will be an interesting proposition in the next few years.

Gus is an old carnt but IMO he is still massively passionate about the game and his current club.

I refuse to knock the bloke cos too often it will bite us on the arse.

I am glad we do business our way. It works and there is no bullshit attached.

                        We live in great times.

                        You know it makes sense.

Mate, the problem with Gus is you cannot take him on face value.
He has multiple personalities and plays the bluff game better than any sports manager in this country. A very strategic thinker who sets-up his agenda to achieve his desired outcome.

I must say though, he makes sense most of the time.

                            Very true mate.

The master of the mind game.

It has done Freddy wonders as Origin coach. He used The Gus formula and it should create a new culture around that side. Hopefully.

The Penns only have a little bit of money compared to Nick and even less brain cells between them compared to Nick.
Apparently one of the Penns sent out an email to the Manly board announcing they signed Pearce then 2 days later it was official his signing with the Knights.

The Penns are totally responsible for the trouble Manly are in. Not only they knew what was going on but they were stupid enough to bring in an idiot to coach Blacktown. This idiot they later sacked and he (only with the Stewart Bros) dobbed them into the NRL

on the legal matter.....what kind of employee goes public about the misgivings of a company when you are a leader and doesn’t expect backlash. It’s all about Baz
