The Roosters side this year is a better side than both NZ & Australia.
The offload from Manu for Ferguson against Souths in the prelim was better - because it was for Easts and against Souths and it was in a final.

Both Manu and Mitchell played well last night but all credit to DWZ and Shaun Johnson for the games they played also.

Agree with everyone who hopes Manu and Mitchell get upgrades and are the Easts centre pairing for the next 10+ years. And as others have mentioned it's not just those two that have to lift next year, it will be the whole team. Stating the obvious but Ferguson had his best year this year (not only for us but his career) and will be sorely missed. I still think Ikuvalu can improve immensely.

We would turn him into a complete beast. He’s too injury prone for my liking though

No, BJ Leilua is the best centre in the comp. We woulda won if he replaced Latrell!!!

He’s the type of player that balances money with happiness. Yes he wants to win a premiership with the warriors but he’s not going to sell out to a higher bidder cause I’m sure all the big clubs would have approached him at some stage. He’s happy being home with his family and buddies rather than being in a big city in Oz. Of course when age catches up with him and he’s no longer wanted in NZ, he might accept big bucks in the SL.

Once Keary went off aust lost their way, Aust are in trouble if they think DCE and Hunt are the way.
That also goes for Klemmer and Woods up front, even Teddys and Latrells brilliance can't overcome that shortfall.

after the game manu said "It's pretty nice words coming from him. We just talked about it after the game, and we said, 'were the two best centres in the world'. We have a lot of respect for each other".
                  they know it know.

History and the salary cap shows you cant keep 2 gun centres at the one club. Your spine and forwards demand more.

                    Who would you keep?

Souffs and Newcastle will go hard for Mitchell.
Manu will be chased by the Warriors and god knows who.

Bingo... and hearts change too over time. Staying on top is challenging because you've gotta constantly be developing young guns from the age of ~15 in the hop they'll not only be first grade quality, but will be quality 1st graders. Tough ask!!

IMO this is why those who claim we 'buy premierships' have NFI what goes into it. 2018 Required a lot of stars to align. Seeing Radley, Latrell, Manu, Tupou, Cords, Maubs, Matto, Liu, Friend and Napa out there surely sends a message that most of our team has only played for one club? Add to that a bunch of unwanted players (Fergo, Tetevano, Keary...etc) and others like JWH and Tauks who have less than a full season elsewhere... which players did we 'buy'? Teddy and Cronk. K... so we're not allowed to buy 2 marquee players? :P
