To be fair, they have been playing all year without a rest... just the womens comp isn't very mature yet. It has to start somewhere and IMO the amount of negativity towards the comp on here is pretty shyte to see.

Personally, the timing is great because (anecdotally) people switch off the men's game once their club has been knocked out. For example (currently undfeated) Brisbane are out of the NRL and there are no QLD teams left, so why would they bother watching Souffs v Roosters when they hate both clubs and wish both could lose? Enter the women's comp... they can now watch Brisbane because they have a team in the comp. Great idea IMO!!! If the Chooks get knocked out next week, the women's game is a great alternative. I can see it expanding too, if they keep the momentum up...

Where have they been playing? all yea without a rest? These teams have never played together before the last 2 weeks, a 4 week comp, it's not a knockout. win ONE game and you might make the so called Grand Final. It's a joke.

For those interested: to progress to the GF our girls need the Broncos to beat the Warriors on Friday night. If they beat them by 10 or more, we will progress if we beat the Dragons on Sat night. If the Broncs beat the Warriors by less than 10 we'll need to beat the Dragons by the difference to progress.
If the Warriors lose by 10 or more and we beat the Dragons by just one point we'd be equal with the Dragons. Don't know how they split the teams.

Part of the agreement was that the teams were not to get together before August due to club commitments but what I am hearing is the Broncos have been training for a long time.

It certainly looked like Brisbane were better prepared....that explains quite a bit.

Our girls need a fair bit of improvement to match them if we do happen to make the final.
