I'm with the new team new year mob, but if you think we're jinxed remember that we have won 2 out of our last 5 prelims and 6 out of our last 9.

To someone who's watched our games for years, it's obvious the game managers have an agenda against us. Losing Latrell doesn't help, but we have plenty of other attacking options.
At this stage I remain quietly confident.

We are in a great position to win through to the GF regardless of who we play.
Fresher, rested, motivated, purposeful.
I don't think it matters who we play. I don't think it matters that Napa is unavailable.
Sure Latrell would be a loss. But all teams will have absentees or worse still, passengers who will play.
I think fear of losing esp to Souths is paralyzing some fans...its unneccessary.
I would much much prefer to be us than any other team now.

Well, we definitely are in a good position.
1. We have around 2 weeks to find a player to slot into Mitchell's position,
2. we have a masterful influence and organizer in cooper cronk,
3. a form of hindsight in what not to do in a finals game(last years cowboys game),
4. we are the best defending team.
5. More than likely we will be coming up against a tired team, whose probable fatigue will impact on their performance
6. We still have a brilliant right side of attack in the form of Fergo and Manu
7. Two goal kickers available to cover for him (which aren't bad)
I have recently read an article on fox saying that Latrell has amounted to 46% of our points this year, which is a lot. They then further state that this is the reason why we will lose. But think about it. If Latrell wasn't the goal kicker (i personally think he is just above average at this) and say, Blake Ferguson was, the statistic would be around the same anyway, probably higher due to the fact that Blake has scored more tries. There really wouldn't be as much fuss if Latrell wasn't goal kicking. It is quite a meaningless statistic in this context when you think about it; its really just the media blowing this out of proportion. If we played like we did against the sharks, but a bit more attack oriented, we have a big chance of winning whoever we play in our next game. I'm not saying that Latrell isn't a huge loss, but even with this loss we should be a formidable sideLast edited by QWERTY; 09-13-2018, 11:44 AM.EASTS TO WIN!
