  • Don't Get all the pessimism

    I don't get it.

We are in a great position to win through to the GF regardless of who we play.

    Fresher, rested, motivated, purposeful.

I don't think it matters who we play. I don't think it matters that Napa is unavailable.

Sure Latrell would be a loss. But all teams will have absentees or worse still, passengers who will play.

I think fear of losing esp to Souths is paralyzing some fans...its unneccessary.

I would much much prefer to be us than any other team now.

I have said that last bit for a few months. We are in the box seat.

    Go Easts.

The mantra is one week at a time, but we're looking good.

We'll have one or two players out next week, but can still beat anybody. Souths and Saints are playing busted and have to go through it all again this weekend.

Couldn’t agree more. Defence wins games and Latrell’s replacement will be an even stronger defender.

        Fire up!

Agreed many teams after this weeks stage in the semis will be playing with injured players we are in a good spot at the moment .

Very true mate, our whole season has been built on defense and if Mitchell is out I am sure Robbo will bring in a specialist defender and grind out a tough win.

Our only threat is Melbourne, hopefully both teams will be at full strength in the GF which will be a classic!

              You mean Aubbo right?
We have a great team that has come good at the right end of the year. Even without Latrell we can still win. It’s our defence that won the last game and will win the next two.

We’ll still start favourites without Latrell.

Obviously it’s a big loss but we still have Manu and Fergo on the other edge which any side would kill for.

And Cronk, Tedesco, Keary etc . We’ll be right.

Gus Gould gives us no chance to advance without Latrell, what a fool he has become..

To suggest that we can't beat the Rabbitohs without Latrell is ridiculous but I definitely think we'd be underdogs - even if only slightly.

Latrell is just so important to our team and history shows it's very hard to win the massive end of season games without all your superstars on deck against another gun team with all theirs available.

I also think Napa is a huge loss vs the Rabbits given his ability to nullify the Burgii.

But the week off will be an equaliser if the Rabbits are made to work hard vs the Dragons.

Especially when you consider he also said he thinks the winner of the Sharks Roosters game would win the comp.

I really hope Graham is fit to play for the Dragons. Or is he not eligible cause of HIA protocol?

Yeah, and to cover his tracks he's come out and said that the Sharks deserved to win that game. Ya reckon?

But the lunacy of his comments is clear when he's saying them now, before we know what happens this weekend. If Saints win they'll be without Vaughan and Widdop, so also have 2 big players out. If Souths win, how does Gus know that they won't have players injured or suspended? (Not that we couldn't beat a full strength Souths team.)

A bit of reverse psychology from Gus . I love it when he bags us we usually win . Does a good job to disguise any roosters bias but deep down he's still one of us .

From what he did with us in the 90s, Gus will always be a Roosters hero. And I would say that he works in mysterious ways ...
