It's the penalties that we won't get that's a concern.

The sharks one looks like it was made in 2001Originally posted by Lydon View PostFunny thing is when you get on the Sharks forum the reaction is exactly the same regarding Sutton & Cummins, they think their chances are shot before a ball is even kicked lolEASTS TO WIN!

I’d like to see what the penalty stats are during our finals campaigns. Finals always reffed differently.Originally posted by Maxy Walker View Post
Yes I’m aware of Tommy’s little table. Can we have something a little more specific to Saturday’s game though please, like say our record under Sutton at Allianz?

I agree to a certain extent Mickey but if it's tight and many finals are especially when the comp is so even they can have a big influence even outside of penalty counts - partic on policing the 10 and time on the ground in the tackle. They have plenty of arsenal up their sleeves to manage a result or keep one side in the game and these two clearly don't like us and clearly couldn't give a shit how obvious it is that's the case.Originally posted by Mickie Lane View PostCouldnt care less who the refs are. If the Roosters are good enough they will win.
I am hoping what some have said is the case and the NRL would feel a bit more comfortable if these guys(sharks) didn't win this year with the cap issue hanging over their heads. That would be a disaster if it played out they needed to be punished later when the investigation has run its course but had already won it. Im hoping that potential embarrassment will at least mean the game is reffed fairly.
I dont like all this biased ref talk as it feels like a cop out but its pretty hard to ignore the data when presented - as a group the refs give us a really hard time.

no chance of that chopsticks - remember when Anasta got king hit by some souths grub after playing the ball and cummins sent Anasta to the the bin!!!! Laurie Daley was the commentator and i'll never forget his " he's lost his way,the young referee" comment after sending Braith to the bin for being king hit!Originally posted by chopstiks View PostAs long as these two Muppets police the grubs, as i worry for our target man Cronk. Gallen and Flanagan are running a dirty side.

I think we might get a preview of how the refereeing will be with the Friday night game. I have a strong feeling the refs are going to let a lot go unpenalised. Maybe even the wrestle. That will favour the Storm.
If Sutton and Cummins put the whistle away for most of the game it might just favour us. Create a free flowing game like in Origin.
It seems they have had the word from the NRL to go easy on the penalties.
