Can you expand on why you think Robinson is still the coach because Politis doesn't want to look for another coach for a while?

That kind of claim is in sheer contrast to the way Politis has conducted his business as chairman.

I said probably. Probably does not mean it is gospel. I mean probably in the context that he 'Probably' doesn't want to be sacking coaches around like in the old days. Robinsons record is good, though he still needs to get us to another GF. I don't know how Politis conducts his personal business, if you do, well great!

No I appreciate we are never completely in the know when it comes to these types of things, especially with a guy like Nick Politis who keeps so much to himself but we can definitely draw conclusions based on his previous actions from the past.

I just think it's an interesting comment that the only reason you think Robinsonhasn't been sacked yet is because of a probable change in Nick Politis's ideology & thinking. Not only has he not been sacked but it's something Politis has doubled down on this year by giving Robinson an extension when we were sitting a lot less prettier than we are now.

I think if Nick thought Robinson wasn't the right man for the job he would go out and look for another coach, as he has done numerous times throughout his time as chairman.

All I read after B Smiff was our coach was that we needed to be one of those consistent sides like Melba and The Wankos that are in the semis most seasons and are always a chance of winning the comp.

Now we are that team due to our Coach.

Of course that won’t satisfy some. We must win every season or we need a new coach like Ivan or Tooves or Dessie.

All we can realistically ask as fans is we are thereabouts most seasons.

Withe Robbo in charge I am confident that will be the case.

Yes you make a lot of good points but I also think that Nick now believes in having a steady ship like Man U had when Sir Alex was there, which is why he said so. If he didn’t think Robbo could deliver another premiership, he would have shafted him like he’s done before, including players. Let’s hope for Nicks sake, and our sake Robbo can... I’m sure you’ll agree with that.
