I think you should read this link about your doom and gloom future of Mitchell since Robbo sent him to Wyong for a few games...That's just the starts.

And so what? Conjecture about a star player that was dropped. Alls well that ends well but it was a big deal at the time.

      Try harder.

think i referenced myself being incorrect re cronk vs pearce earlier roc181...bit of a difference ino replacing a coach who has won 4 mps in 6 years , 1 major and only missed finals once, to a long term established member of the team who was at our heart and soul for 10 years . were lucky its worked out, it was a risk , and for the first half of this season lets be honest nobody knew how it was was working out. but yea im happy to put my hand up and admit im an idiot but i still maintain sacking robbo would be ridiculous .

minor premierships are fine and dandy, but Trent has a poor strike rate in prelims. Just can't seem to get the boys to lift for those games.

The NRL is a strange competition where they play for 25 rounds and then the winner is decided by a completely seperate month long knock out tournament. There’s a massive amount of pot luck involved in winning it given the winner has to get through two sudden death games.

The minor premier deserves more recognition. Anyway it’s a great achievement by Robbo.
I agree with this, winning the minor premiership would mean winning the title in soccer. Winning the grand final is a bit of a crap shoot as it comes down to injuries and suspension and who's in form in a particular month .
I think it's a massive achievement by Robbo to get a team to perform at that high level for such an extended period of time.

Let’s hope he can start figuring out attack. And the bench.

Absolutely agree with this.....I wrote similarly previously......so much 'luck' goes into coming out on top after this sudden death stuff....win 3 games and your teams the best of the year...give me a break.....imagine if one of teams 5,6,7or 8 come through and win the grand final and be remembered as the best team of the year !

                  True.

Outstanding achievement by Robbo, Uncle Nick, the players, and the support staff.

I also like the way Robbo really listens to questions at the press conferences and gives considered, honest, well-worded responses, instead of stock standard footy cliches...

You weren’t happy with 44 points last night? And 542 points for the season which is 3rd best?

Attack is looking pretty good to me.

All I read after B Smiff was our coach was that we needed to be one of those consistent sides like Melba and The Wankos that are in the semis most seasons and are always a chance of winning the comp.

Now we are that team due to our Coach.

Of course that won’t satisfy some. We must win every season or we need a new coach like Ivan or Tooves or Dessie.

All we can realistically ask as fans is we are thereabouts most seasons.

Withe Robbo in charge I am confident that will be the case.

Great coach and even greater human.

We live in lucky times peoples.

Try to enjoy the entertainment provided rather than whine about shit you have nfi about.

                      You know it makes sense.

Conjecture? I call it doom and gloom...' But that was just a small taste of what you wrote about then...But seriously, I don't give a rats arse what your opinions are on the team and club. It's your opinion. And I don't go around hunting old threads to prove someone wrong, it ain't my style BUT I did that to point out some hypocrisy in this place. People have a right to an opinion without the usual stuff of 'Where are all the haters now' crap that goes on. I could start a new thread about where are all the Cronk doubters now but why? That is kindergarden behaviour.

I never said to sack Robinson but I wasn't happy with the way we were playing early this year where the tactics were so defensive and conservative. Even he has said so and I'm glad that he saw that it had to change. I am glad that he is proving some people wrong, even though he knew he had to change things around so in the end, were people wrong? Were commentators wrong too because they said it as well? And yes I thank Robbo for the MP but its the GF most of us want that has been missing.

I will say this about Cronk. He may not be as quick as he was at the Storm but he's onfield leadership and motivation style is what got us this far even when we lost so many players...Where is the praise for him from some quarters?

Thank you Robbo. Thank you Teddy. Thank you the rest of the team and thank you Cooper for helping us have a better year than last year. Now to the GF lads!!!

                          Is that hard enough MW?

I’ll be the first to admit that I got it wrong and should wait till season end before passing judgement so I apologise. I just hope our finals campaign goes well and we win the comp we really, truly deserve.

The reason Robbo is still here is probably due to Politis not wanting to have to look for another coach for a while...Mind you there aren't any suitable candidates at the moment.
Can you expand on why you think Robinson is still the coach because Politis doesn't want to look for another coach for a while?

That kind of claim is in sheer contrast to the way Politis has conducted his business as chairman.
