If like last year we are forced to play two second rowers in the centres, and lose the ability to create an overlap on either side of the field, then forget it. The opposition will just rush up in defense without fear of us running around them. Cronk a cog in a big machine, not a god.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here. Individual brilliance is just that. It's that spark that others don't have. You don't think Storm rely on the individual brilliance of Munster? Or Souths the brilliance of Cook? Every good team has an X factor player that they rely on in the big moments that's what sets them apart from the rest of the teams.

I am saying that Cronk is not the superstar people make him out to be. He needs a Keary or a Cam Smith to take pressure off him. He also needs attacking options on both sides of the field. From that perspective we are just as vulnerable as what we were last year. Take away a Keary or a Mitchell then we are done. If we are forced to play both Maubs and Matterson in the centres again then we are done.

Also when Slater was out they didn't win the Premiership. You need the superstars on deck to win it all.

They honestly don't worry me btw. Everything conceivable went their way in Adelaide and we still should have won. JWH and Cordner were missing also and our record without both must be about 20% wins at best.

You're selling Cooper short...The storm are there by 2 points and only a few points for and against above us and we've lost Pearce ( according to some our superstar...ROTFLMAO), Watson, Guerra, Gordon and more that had us at the top last year. Plus how many Roosters superstars in the last few years have won 2 Dally Ms? Well Cronk has. He might not be an Immortal but needer has Freddy. There's no chalk & cheese here. Cronk and Smith are different players and I don't mean in positions.

Cam Smith is a freak.

He was so criminally underrated during the middle period of his career, it's nice to see him getting the recognition for the brilliant organiser that he is.

Unfair to compare him to anyone else really though, he's arguably one of the greatest of all time.

He's undoubtedly the key to the Storm IMO, more than Bellamy. That 40-0 drubbing when he missed the grand final still speaks such large volume as to his influence.

He's a million dollar player and worth every cent. That makes him a superstar. He doesn't do all the flashy stuff but he is the most essential part of the side.

And of course if we lose our two centres we are done. Injuries always have an effect. That has nothing to do with Cronk.

I absolutely love having Cronk in our side.
