No dount the guys got talent but I don't think he gave it is all till last year
    He was one player.
I saw him tackle himself to a standstill, only to have some dumbos keep dropping the ball in attack etc and the team get beaten week after week in 2009 and before that...and this year.
Origin is only 3 games a year...special, every players lifts...high on "Queenslander" as they run out...into the battle they go.
Also, the players are the best of the best, which at club level they are not.

Maybe if we had that "magic" we might win more games.

Of course in Origin every refereeing decision is in the big bright spotlight...unlike our games where no one much cares what decisions are dished out to us and what games we're refereed out of.
Maybe if he'd had 5 giants in front of him in the pack things might've been different.

I do have a bit of grudging respect though for any man who can shit himself in public and indignantly pass it off as a stomach bug and carry on his career as though it never happened. He deserves some credit for pulling that off.

If you can't think of many, or any, then there can't have been many, or any.

      The incident:

NRL star Nate Myles tells of hotel diarrhoea

'Dark, dazed' Myles lost on way to loo 'Horrifed' to be locked out of room Family refused naked star entry

NRL star Nate Myles last night apologised for the act that yesterday saw him suspended for six weeks, claiming that he had not intentionally defecated in the corridor of a luxury NSW Central Coast hotel.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Myles claimed the incident was "a terrible accident" caused by a stomach bug that has been with him since before Origin II.

"I am just very embarrassed and very sorry," Myles said.

The Roosters forward was staying at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal with teammates Mitchell Pearce, Willie Mason and Mark O'Meley at the weekend after attending a junior league fundraiser.

"I had been asleep for about four hours and I got up to go to the toilet," Myles said last night.

"It was dark and I was a bit dazed. The door to the toilet was right next to the entry door and I went through the wrong one.

"The door locked behind me and I was stranded."

Myles said he had diarrhoea and was horrified when he realised he was locked out of his room.

He said despite being stark naked, he attempted to gain entry to a neighbouring hotel room where a family was leaving.

"I just asked them if I could use their toilet," Myles said.

The family refused and shut the hotel room door, leaving Myles in the corridor. He said he then knocked on Pearce's door but the halfback failed to respond.

Myles last night said he immediately offered to pay the hotel's cleaning bill.

"I paid for cleaning straight away," he said.

"A short time after his entry was refused and the family had left he was found to have defecated elsewhere in the hotel corridor and was later discovered in a fire escape."

      >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>

Understandable, and a reasonable explanation in my eyes.

Not ideal by any means, and the guy has to live with it for the rest of his life...which would be absolutely terrible.
What else can he do but carry on with his career and his life?

Re posting and quoting the article again means he will be living with this issue being brought up for the rest of his life. Maybe less rehashing of old article means less people will actually bring it up and the less he has to live with it.

        Think about it.

I can think of some good ones, off the top of my head:

          Lam
          Crocker
          Sing
          Brown
          McLean
          Harrison
          Boustead
          Hodges
          Gillmeister
          Shillington

          Would have [or did], would:

          Beetson [played Origin from Eels]
          Marshall
          Hegarty
          Spina
          Challis
          Flannery
          Gaffey
          Green
          Paterson
          Guerra
          Friend
          Kennedy
          Brad Tassell
          Jason Tassell

It was brought up here in this thread by others...their abuse of him needed to be responded to.
The whole world knows about it anyway, it's no secret.
He didn't do much wrong IMO, as any reasonable person reading the article would conclude.

Those here abusing him should read it, they might then also see the incident for what it actually was.

he got pissed, locked himself out of the room and shat in the hallway.

I didn't actually think anyone would believe his lamarsed excuse for Myles' unforgiveable act. Seems I was wrong.

I mean the same 'stomach bug' didn't stop him from having a wild old time on the tiles the night before now did it?

At least we can close the chapter on the whole sorry incident now with his departure. Yet another page in the colourful book that is Roosters' history.
