If I quoted Alan Jones you should've listened.
Alan knows all...greatest Rugby coach ever.

And if Morris has signed in the past day or two, there is no certainty that Toops is on the way out, that's mere media speculation - BMorris can play wing or centre, which means Manu could also be in the mix for the chop. You would assume that Ryan Hall would take Ferguson's spot.
I'd rather keep Manu than sign Morris.
Manu is as good as Morris these days.

I thought this was more about having depth.
Why do people keep assuming we can only afford 7 backline players?
Tupou and Manu aren't being forced out. Maybe Reece is?????????????

The old folks home is open for business. Pity we don't have one of those blokes who run dodgy daycare, we could make some money.

            • Excellent news. This year we have SFA backup for our 2-5. This is a smart signing and would not have cost too much.

Astute signings in positions where we lack depth and experience doesn't mean we're turning into a retirement home.
Maybe it's a good signing or maybe not. We won't know till next season.

Brett Mullins was a great signing, as was LOD.
                Reece Robinson not so.

                    • From the club...

The Sydney Roosters have today announced the signing of Brett Morris to a two-year deal commencing in 2019.

"Brett is one of the most experienced finishers in the game with plenty of good football still in him, and we are pleased to have secured his services," said Roosters recruitment manager, Adam Hartigan.

"Not only will Brett add experience and depth to our squad, he will also be a terrific mentor to some of the younger backs here at the Club," he added.

Morris will join the Roosters from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, and has played 231 NRL games to date since making his debut with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2006.

Morris played 18 Tests for Australia and 15 games for New South Wales prior to announcing his retirement from representative football in 2017.

                      • Welcome Brett! The last time we signed a winger named Brett whose father had played for the Roosters we won the comp.

Interesting to see how this plays out next year, but depth is a good thing.

Now we've got next year sorted, we can concentrate on doing the business this year.

                          • Good signing Easts

As previously mentioned Brett’s experience with the young backs coming through will be invaluable, ala Cooper Cronk..

Also his knack of finding the tryline and defensive smarts will only be a positive for the Club!

                              • just hope we haven't promised first grade spots to Hall and Morris, Tupou is a far better winger than both of them.
