Am I missing something here? Blake is a right-side winger and Brett a left-side winger. In other words, they're not like-for-like in terms of wing position.
He was an even better halfback , but we used him as a winger.
No he wasn't. He signed for the Dragons as a 7 and then was moved to the wing because he had a limited kicking and passing game. He was lightning quick, probably would have ended up at hooker if he played in the modern game. Interestingly, his youngest son plays a bit of 20's for the Dragons from time to time, he started as a 6 in juniors before being moved to the wing and and also plays a bit of dummy half. He looks just like ol' Slip when he runs too!
Ikuvalu hasn't had much opportunity yet.
He jumped high and batted the ball out to save the day in the Titans game.
He has been running the ball and tackling hard as well, I've been pleasantly surprised with his progress. Normally I would think that someone who hasn't debuted until there mid 20s wouldnt be as good as he's been.
Some of you blokes really have it in for Manu, give him time he is going to be a good player for us. Let him grow into his body and give him 50 first grade games under his belt , not everyone jumps from the 20s into first grade and can handle the transaction from playing against boys to men.

Agree JB
he is getting better defensively and has a very nice little one hand offload developing ala Matt Gidley

I realized to my horror that I'd forgotten him. It was not a belief in any lack of talent, just oversight.

Fair enough Johnny I just have read a few times on here about Manu getting bagged and I hope we give him some time to develop. I've got a hunch he's going to end up a good one for us.

When talking about Manu, Robbo recently said something about NRL players needing to impose their personalities on the game. You kind of feel Manu is hiding his light under a bushel a bit. Atm he's playing like someone who's not sure if he belongs - needs to find the inner footy star and bring it out onto the field. How much does he want to make it?

We gave BJ Lealua plenty of time, I hope we do the same for Joey
