I'm fully with you on this one. Maybe some on here would like the club to go even further by releasing any players that end up playing rep footy to ensure that our whole squad is always be available for club footy but then we will end up with a team of duds like the gold coast and the masses on here will whinge again.

      At all times??
We are talking about Game 3 which is a dead rubber, with a captain playing Injured..
Can’t Agree with you on this one HC.

I am sure that the same whingers were out in force here before game 2 and also before game 3 last year, neither of which were "dead" rubbers.

As far as I’ve been reading and my comments have been in reference to this game which is a dead rubber..

In my opinion he should put Club duties first when Origin is already won and if he is indeed carrying an injury..

This is what I dont get about some people on here. They dont realise that teams that win the comp are stacked with rep players & that players LOVE playing rep footy. They think it is all about them & the Roosters. I love the Roosters as much as anyone & when I her they are going to sign rep players like SBW, Maloney, Jennings CronK, Crighton or maybe Tapou Im cheering. For those who dont like Roosters players playing rep footy you may consider following a team like Newtown or Norths.

Why is it they are "Whingers" some people may just have a different opinion than the one you have.. I for one think if he's good enough for Origin then he can back up on Sunday evening if he doesn't pick up an injury, from what I understand Latrell and Teddy are backing up.

don't have an issue with any player striving to become a rep player, I have an issue with Rooster's contracted players having a history of playing for their state or country at much less than 100% fitness that leads them to miss more time for the Roosters.

its funny how so many criticized Paul Gallen for putting NSW first over the Sharks, yet are quick to defend Cordner for doing exactly the same thing to us.

Plenty of other clubs would not do that and we would lose him.

Anyway, we have this discussion every year and nothing will change so we just have to cop it.

BTW, some above should note that we are only talking about Cordner. None of the other players are being mentioned and good luck to them. The difference is that every year Cordner comes back a cripple and most years he plays Origin busted in the first place. Last season we lost him for five games after Game Three and it was clear he shouldn't have played in it.

I remember last year around SOO time struggling to remember when the last time Cordner played for the Roosters, same thing is happening again this year.

fingers crossed he doesn't do further damage to his calf/knee tonight.

Good luck with that. If he only misses the one game after tonight it is a massive bonus.

I think our back row stocks are well and truly covered. I quite like the look of Sunday’s team. Plus we’re only playing the Titans.

The next 3 games are on Sunday, so plenty of rest available
                            ..it’ll be interesting to see

Doesn't really matter whether you agree or not the fact is if we try and stop players playing rep games they won't play with us for long.
