Have you ever played a team sport? Competitively I mean not chasings in the playground.
If you have then you should understand that an unhappy team doesn't win many matches. if you cant trust your team mates you lose confidence.
Im sure you've got no clue what Im talking about.
as for Carney....he has not performed this year at all and even his goal kicking has slipped to almost minichiello levels. Seems like your stuck in 2010 whilst were all still hurting over 2011 and the part Carney had in destabilising our club and derailing our season.
As for the media...they are complicit in this. But lets get real....they are there to sell papers and any story that suits them will do.
Maybe, just maybe Carney does not know who he can trust at Easts, he has mates who know he has problems yet persist in aiding his demons, mates who are regular drinking buddies, then hide and take a backward step at the first sign if trouble, mates who apparently want him sacked behind closed doors, but are happy to share a beer with him for all to see.Mates who rode on his coat tails last year standing back and letting the guy take the fall for on and off the field.
Like Carney has to take responsabilty for his off field efforts, some of our protected stars need to for their performances on the field.
So the protected species are smart enough not to get a phot taken of them when walking out of a bar in the early hours of the morning. These protected species have half a brain not to get caught, with no evidence to bring them down.
I remember many moons ago at school when us kids mucked up in a group, many were never in trouble, yet the some were so brash and foolish they were the ones in the principals ofiice every time.
We can all sit back and say Todd and co were not the only ones involved, but 2 of the 3 are the same ones always in the principals office.
The alcohol ban in itself is a way bringing team disharmony. And it shows that this club is tearing itself apart when a majority is obviously not apart of what a few wish.
When you have a few senior players saying that we should all be tucked up in bed by a certin time, yet at the same age these same players were running amok is complete BS!
Protected species or not...any players who drank alcohol during the ban need to be identified and lined up outside the principal's office with Carney, FPN and Myles.
If the club is not interested in finding out the truth and exactly who the others players are then it stands condemned!
Pearce was reportedly out drinking with Carney before the ban.

It is a Carney agenda, Cameras do not follow the protected few, no one cares they will remain clean skins to the fans that live in a bubble and think they do no wrong, not just our club, everywhere. Pubs and clubs who want their patronage will not complain.
Carney through all his stupidity is an easy scapegoat, much like Mason, a pair of dumbarses, easy to blame and ised to hide the fact the lies a bigger problem under the surface, if you think carney is the only bloke with problems in our club you are sadly mistaken.
More like rubbing their hands with glee at our stupidity in getting rid of one of our best players, as they're doing the rolling.
They're welcome to him as far as I'm concerned. Whoever wants him.
As for the other blokes allegedly on the drink, apart from Jake there's no one I can think of at the club that has enough black marks against their name that their contract would be on the line. Like FPN, they'd get a week or so off and life would go on.
It's TC's repeated offences that have his contract on the line, not this incident alone. This latest incident is just the last straw for many supporters, including myself.

Maybe, maybe not. I think Carney might be damaged goods and clubs might find it too risky. He had a bad run in Canberra and now been caught out a few times with us. Then promises are made and broken.
I reckon a coach might have a very hard time selling Carney to their board, because of the potential for things to go pear shaped. Anyway, who knows, maybe this story about Smithy no wanting him is a wind up to get Carney to get his act together or get punted.

I agree, the agenda is BS, and is way out of control. Sack him? Don't sack him? Think the later. Now as long as they can fill columns and forums with the hesteria that is being shown by many on here it will continue.
2nd point being that it is not just this club, it is the whole league. I couldnt give a shit if some are being covered for. All clubs cover for players. I live in Brissy, and see things week in week out. I am not a snitch, and really dont care what players do in THEIR own time.
These problems have been around for 100 years, and will continue for another 100 years. Get over it peoples.

I do.
In the interests of honesty, truth, justice, harmony, team spirit, and the poor devastated playing group.
The club has taken the moral high ground...a ban, and severe punishments for breaking it.
But, seems only willing to punish the 3 who were caught on tape, and just ignore allegations that others were also guilty of breaching the ban.
That's far from moral.
Now every player bar a couple, are suspects...and the club is seen for what it is.
