It would be quite therapeutic for me! It would make up for that urge I get when I see Carney dribbling about "sorry" "promise"...to put him over my knee and smack him!

I played comp tennis...and yes, it wasn't rugby league and it wasn't professional, but we wanted to win...and we only worried about the form of players ...on the court.
With all due respect bondi-boy, you weren't doing it as a professional in an international sport, and earning money for doing it....and representing a club.

In what has been a drama filled beginning to 2011 combined with struggles on field the Roosters play maker knows he has fallen short a few hurdles.

In a positive for the roosters and NRL fans alike, the 25-year-old says he isn’t far off from the form which saw him claim the 2010 Dally M medal.

“I probably didn’t live up to expectations... but I feel I’m getting there,” Carney told Sky Sports radio.

“I probably didn’t handle my injuries real well at the start of the year.

“Dealing with it, the rehab and that but it kept niggly and I didn’t goal kick for the first part of the year.”
So one of your team mates could have been knocking off your missus and it would have been okay with you?

Tennis is not a team sport. If Carney played tennis it could be all about me, me and me, and no one would care less...

What's Elliott doing next year if not having a say in the coaching of the team?
Maybe he'd like a player like Carney to help him win matches.

Lovely...sack Todd and when we go to Shark park next year he walks all over us. lol

...and he'll lift the Sharks higher up the ladder than they are now and it'll be even harder for us to climb up.
Smith is an employee of the club, if he want's Carney out he should be asking his boss ( Politis ) but no he'd rather blab to the media, I do'nt like the man, personally, I would sack Smith and keep Carney. Smith must be skating on thin ice with the strange methods he employed coaching our team this season, So. bad the club had to employ a failed coach to get the team on track.

I didn't watch the news but I assume Weidler didn't interview Smithy. So would Smithy tell Weidler that this is the decision he has made before Carney has even had his day with the board? Or is this something Weidler may have heard from a friend of a former player who has close contacts with one of the Newtown boys? I just can't see how Smithy would let this leak out. Because if he did and Politis hasn't discussed the final decision with Smithy then someone is going to be in the pooh.

Exactly. Smithy would not be that stupid.

As far as I'm aware Elliott doesn't start his job as ASSISTANT coach until next year.

I reckon if we give him the arse he will end up at the Vermin. When in form, a ready made replacement for Sandow.

Little wonder - the Sharkies' switchboard would have been aflame this morning and the Board are probably right royally pissed off that they've even be linked to the bloke.

Not a great career move Flanno. You've got a little backtracking to do.

                                4pm 2GB news:

Flannigan denial plus this gem: "and the Roosters playmaker is likely to have his contract ripped up after being caught drinking last week".

The players and officials at other clubs must be rolling on the floor laughing at us.
