      Ripped off again.
We didn’t need the charge sheet to tell us we were ripped off.

They really are discretionary theses days aren't they (knock on's)

Sometimes, it can border on touch footy rules if the ball leaves the man in possession in an unorthodox manner and/or hits the ground, they just don't like it. Or take that chance to turn it over.

The discretion can change from incident to incident across all games.

That’s the annoying part. Incident to incident in the same game can have two different outcomes. The stupid thing is, the rules are there to make it easy. Just follow them and stop trying to use discression when it’s black and white. Using discression has a time and place but also opens it up to calls that are incorrect.

It went both ways. The 14 errors and 50 missed tackles was the reason behind our loss.
About time we stopped blaming the refs for that loss

100% True. But we defended our atrocious errors. That’s footy. But the officials broke our backs and spirits with the NAPA call. Imagine being a Roosters player. You have busted a gut for 74 minutes, and then NAPA gets not only penalised, but sin binned. Nah, no farking way.

my mate has a theory about the relatively poor crowd of 29k. There’s no way the NRL would allow Bronco Pty Ltd to lose two games in a row at Suncorp. It’s all about the $$$$$ peeps.

It never should have got to that stage though
it was OUR missed tackles and OUR errors that let them be in a position to win that game, the shitty calls helped them but really it was our own fault we let them get there

Knock-on is now basically whether a defending player touched the ball during the tackle.

IMO the rule needs to role back to if a player loses the ball and it hits the ground in front of them, it is a knock-on. If it is sideways or backwards, it in not. If a defending player takes a swing at it while the attacking player is gathering the ball or being tackled then it is not a knock-on, it is a strip and the defending player will get pinged for a knock-on if it hits the ground.

The refs farked up on multiple occasions. This is a different topic from the result and our performance.

IMO commenting on the quality of the refing is fair game. In this game, the refs were pathetic. They made a number of wrong calls at crucial stages of the game.

We play the game, so it will always be us who win or lose. However, things like sin-binning one of our players with 5 minutes left on the clock rather than calling a knock-on against the Broncos from 50m out is criminal. To then call a wrongful knock-on against a 12-man Roosters side when they get a line break + a try scoring tap-back is criminal. It is very difficult to finish off a game when you have calls like that going against you during clutch moments!

When a ref farks up so severely during clutch moments, I cannot see why we should not be able to criticise them.

Yeah, look I agree. I’m being a whinger

The Roosters made plenty of errors, but they defended their errors and played well enough to still be at 22 all with 6 mins left. Like I said, that is footy, BUT they were not given a fair chance to WIN after that because of some of the worst ref/bunker decisions I’ve ever seen.

A bit like Robbo said on Anzac Day 2016.

We were not given a fair chance to win from 6 mins to go because of unconscious bias and / or corrupt officials,

                          Yes I said it.

And I agree with many on here , no wonder people are turning away from the NRL in droves.

Come out and say something Sutton and Greenturd, you gutless co.ks. You owe it to all clubs and all fans, because no one knows the farking rule as it stands.
