Rubbish as Pearce wanted to stay but Uncle Nick gave him no option - he stays he plays alt hooker with Friend and somehow then is mentored by Cronk in halfback - when Cronk leaves Pearce then returns to halfback - what a crock idea that was - oh you say Cronk stays for 2 years which could really stuff the club as he is playing on borrowed time and Pearce then could take over again after that - Pearce rightfully rejected this stupid idea and the Chooks are paying the price for it - MMM Robbo didn't agree with this idea but who pays his wage - Uncle Nick- Might be time Uncle Nick steps aside one has to say -

Absolutely 100% correct. At the Storm Cronk didn’t need to contend with....
1. A high rate of incomplete sets
2. Slow service from dummy half
3. Referees who love to screw you over! It was easier for him when Cameron Smith was the ref.

Because he has to deal with the exact same issues Pearce had to. Those who claim Pearce was the sole source of our problems should see them fixed now we have Cronk. But maybe the reason things aren’t any better is because Pearce wasn’t in fact the sole source of our problems.

Teddy had his best game of the season but oddly enough, some of what King BS says is true.

If Pearce was half we win tonight and Gordo at FB too - Cronk should have retired and Tedesco - he is just a runner with no ball skills in his game at all and needs to be like another 5/8 - full marks for Gussy pointing out what I have said previously about Tedesco - when I played fullback I needed to be both a runner and ball player as this is what you needed to be chiming into the backline to promote the attack - Tedesco is purely a ball runner and nothing more- not good enough in the modern game as they say.

I think your harsh on teddy. Not wrong, but harsh for some time now. I believe he's looking more moulded with the team each game. I also think he fell away a bit in the last quarter along with Cronk. (Friend was gone 10 mins before THAT forward pass.)

The questions are, are we to play like the tigers to suit Teddy, the storm to suit Cronk? Or has Robbo got the headache of balancing all these "big game players" in the same team?

I don't mind that Tedesco dosent kill at the passing game. I still think we can win a comp with him at 1. And i was a fan of gordon in the short time he was here too.

Can't have too many players getting in the way off keary/ cronk and out to latrell seeing our right side attack is weak atm.

Good to see cordner getting cut out tonight too the keary latrell combo was awesome to watch.

Cronk is suffering from not having a ferrari on his right side. I though he had a pretty good game up until the end and well, matto had a pretty poor game tbh and maubs is there mainly to defend with fergo on full time prop duty now.

Its the pressure>. THE PRESSURE is what gets us. Wherever it comes from (refs, opposition, personal errors what not) we don't back up well in clutch moments. Just like the PL last year.

Around the 67th min I noticed the bongos getting a bit more enthsiastic in the approach, probably because of a dodgy call or desperation. I'll take both.

I disagree with that. Pearce was not perfect by any stretch. He played panick footy too easily and lost the plot many times under pressure. His off field rubbish was also a liability.

The whole point of forking out the big bucks for Cronk was for him to ice the close games like this.

What everyone keeps forgetting is that we bought only one third of Cronk. His other two thirds, Smith & Slater are still at the Storm.
Without his two buddies, Cronk is like a fish out of water and we can see that now because by himself he’s very ordinary and not a match winner at all.

Youve all come to expect him to play like he did at Melbourne but thats impossible without his other two buddies. He was a dud buy.

I believe that’s a big part of the frustration. We were for the most part a better side last year without needing to spend millions on just two players and upsetting the playing group by letting a club stalwart go.

Broncos had 6 out (many of them internationals) and lost a player in the first 3 minutes and still won - faith is one thing but reality is another - Chooks just can't put games back to back to back etc- that has to be a worry when it's almost the half way point of the season - the new combos etc excuse has worn out I suggest
