Friday night, Broncos 14 straight under this hired goon. Guess we'll be getting no penalties in the second half. What's the counter at now Tommy?

Apparently we've won 11 straight under cecchin. That's interesting.

Just think it's worth noting. I love the chooks as much as anyone but get turned off the pen by the extreme bias/victim narrative.

Its there, but what can we do about it? Wait for Phil to write a crappy article. Just gotta emulate 2013 and beat all in sundry.

If you don't think there is something up when we have won about 4 of the last 55 penalty counts out of Sydney across the past decade, then I cannot help you. This is with multiple coaches and completely different rosters. 11 years since we have won the penalty count against the Warriors in NZ. The penalty count in that time. Warriors 100 - Roosters 47.

But you hate the game managers with a passion, don't you BC ?

                      Indeed.

From 2007-present, after the Warriors game it's now

                      Won 5
                      Drawn 3
                      Lost 43

Combined in Brissy NQ NZ Melbourne Canberra and Newcastle.

*edit we've actually won 5 not 4 yay as I missed the 2015 Prelim where we miraculously won the count in Brissy*

                      Still, THE STATS DON'T LIE.

They are completely devoid of emotion and bias.

And they couldn't tell a clearer story of either subconscious or blatant bias.

Also remember we don't just lose these counts. We regularly get flogged at these grounds.

The thing is, the last time he wrote an article, the penalty counts started evening up.

100% agree. Anyone who thinks commercial decisions aren't made by the NRL, needs a reality check. Todd Greenberg has been quoted that Rugby League is in the Entertainment business. The NRL keeps banging on about how every year there is a different winner, how anybody can beat anybody. One of their KPI's is the average margin per game, last year from memory it was 6 points and Todd Greenberg was trumpeting this as a massive success.

I pay very close attention to our games and the couple others i watch each weekend. You can predict when the team who is behind will start receiving a bunch of penalties in the second half. It happens almost every game I watch. Also in our games we regularly receive our penalties near the end of the game when the result is already usually determined or early in the count on the opposition goal line when it doesn't provide much advantage. The other special is the one with 30 seconds before half time. No time to get any advantage from it. It has been happening for years. I will say I do have some sense of comfort when Matt Cecchin has us.

And a bonus for us that this has received some publicity this week. Now Sutton will be out to prove that he is not bias so we might get a fair go. That’s what I hope for anyway.
