Even the shytest of shyte NRL players is gonna be a footy expert. You might not agree with them, but when it comes to the technical aspects, they are all making informed decisions well beyond the value of any armchair viewer.
Like say you were sitting next to Braith while watching a game and challenged the rules or something... he would school even the most informed armchair expert with ease.

Shirvo and Erin are just token blonde bimbos who read out scripted lines for a living and know nothing about footy. However, they are presenters not experts, so that is fine.
The problem with Shirvo on Fox is that the style they have picked is that Shirvo reads out the Dorothy Dixers to the experts, so the conversations never go anywhere. This is shyte because while the experts know their stuff, they are not allowed to speak outside a closed passage that involves talking up Fox, the refs, the NRL management and conservative politics... so all you get is scripted bullshyte from people who COULD offer a lot more.
Gus? Is sorta at the point where he doesnt give a shyte (most of the time). However, he has been one of the worst offenders when it comes to cash for comment. Him and Hadley were unbelievable how they told us to vote for Tony Abbott otherwise there would be no afternoon footy. They also rambled on about something else (forget what) but come election time they always have a reason why footy blokes should vote for the Liberal party, which they will repeat at regular intervals during games. IMO that kinda stuff is disgusting and TBH is why I dont consider Gus to be an expert... because he will accept cash for comment. He knows his footy but you never know when he is giving and opinion and when he is doing a cash for comment statement.
