Night after night they crap on about the Illawarra Sox being the team to beat. Really..... They will drop off them as quick as you like once they lose a couple. Did any of these "geniuses" tip them before a ball was kicked? Of course not, they are as ****ing clueless as the next bloke. They'll jump on whoever is the flavour of the month. Watching NRL 360 on Fox every night you hear about 3 teams, Dragons, Storm and Warriors, that's it, every night. I just wish these guys would just come out and say "We actually don't have a ****ing clue which team is going to win the comp" but of course you'll never hear that. They've dropped off us completely but as soon as we go on winning run, they will jump back on and act as though they never jumped off. Seriously these blokes know SFA. Rant over.

I couldn't help laughing at Braith's scathing criticism of Bevan French in Fox commentary a few weeks ago. He was so critical that French had not had a hit up the entire first half, he kept up his criticism all during the second half until finally French took the ball for a run in the 75th minute. "Finally !" .....Braith maintained his anger at the lack of involvement of French for the entire game and at games end that he only had one hit up the entire game which came at the 75th minute "not good enough" in summary a critical Anasta announced at the games conclusion.

This is the same Anasta whom I seem to recall copped and absolute bullocking on here some years ago when he went an entire game for us not taking the ball up once and was credited with zero meters.

The criticism of French was justified, just thought it was rather ironical and comical coming from Braith

People should form their own opinion anyway and not rely on the media for their insights. When it comes to pure footy analysis you won’t get much better than listening to Sterlo, Gus, Freddy and/or Joey it’s just a shame that channel 9 for both footy and cricket have gone down the road of aiming their telecast towards bogans in the pubs instead of a more professional, footy orientated talk. That’s why you get Freddy and Joey acting like morons on Tele but if you catch them on a radio interview their insights are first class.

Foxtel is highly professional but jeez their lineup is full of boring people with little to add. Hodges, Parker, Anasta, Gallen, Moore, Matt Shirvington are names that come to mind immediately that have no personality and would be a cure insomnia. Gasnier and Ennis are the only ones with any sort of analysis and personality to deliver it. Danny Buderus has to be the worst commentator around and that is a monumental achievement.

I stopped reading the Tell-You-Shit years ago so I can’t comment on Buzz and Kent but they were rarely ever worth paying attention to anyway.

As for Blocker I can’t believe they wheeled that dinosaur out from whatever museum he was hibernating in. Fox love their jobs for the boys.

Even the shytest of shyte NRL players is gonna be a footy expert. You might not agree with them, but when it comes to the technical aspects, they are all making informed decisions well beyond the value of any armchair viewer.

Like say you were sitting next to Braith while watching a game and challenged the rules or something... he would school even the most informed armchair expert with ease.

Shirvo and Erin are just token blonde bimbos who read out scripted lines for a living and know nothing about footy. However, they are presenters not experts, so that is fine.

The problem with Shirvo on Fox is that the style they have picked is that Shirvo reads out the Dorothy Dixers to the experts, so the conversations never go anywhere. This is shyte because while the experts know their stuff, they are not allowed to speak outside a closed passage that involves talking up Fox, the refs, the NRL management and conservative politics... so all you get is scripted bullshyte from people who COULD offer a lot more.

Gus? Is sorta at the point where he doesnt give a shyte (most of the time). However, he has been one of the worst offenders when it comes to cash for comment. Him and Hadley were unbelievable how they told us to vote for Tony Abbott otherwise there would be no afternoon footy. They also rambled on about something else (forget what) but come election time they always have a reason why footy blokes should vote for the Liberal party, which they will repeat at regular intervals during games. IMO that kinda stuff is disgusting and TBH is why I dont consider Gus to be an expert... because he will accept cash for comment. He knows his footy but you never know when he is giving and opinion and when he is doing a cash for comment statement.
