If we can't beat them minus SJ and Luke then we might as well forfeit our season.

They were without SJ & Mannering when we played them last time.
The Warriors have more mongrel than the Chooks, unless Napa, JWH, Liu, Tetevano & SST turn up with lots of aggression & out muscle the Warriors it will be the same result as it was in rd 4

Slightly better resume than Mitchell Pearce.

Might have played a season too many one has to say - ditto Thurston - old legs

Johns was and is a better half than Cronk for sure and certain.

I think he had some quite handy players around him though in winning the premierships and especially origins - mmm Thurston/Inglis/Slater/Smith/Hodgo/ Boyd etc come to mind- If Pearce had the same cattle he would be ranked just below Johns as a half - Cronk is not on the same page as Johns as a half.

Roosters cut squad to 19 - Butcher on the bench replacing Radley although I did hear Sitili may be a late bench inclusion

Agreed. We will need to bring a brand of footy that we have not had for 9 rounds.

I just cannot see it. This season we have been really poor... there’s really no other way to put it. It is hard to see us turning up and being competitive against a top-4 team.

Edit: bookies have us at $2.00 and Warriors at $1.80. I refuse to bet against my own team but IMO that is an easy way to almost double ones bet. Maybe I should put a pineapple on the Warriors just to jinx them? (I never win anything).

I get your point mate, but they are missing 2 really important spine players for this one, with those 2 in i wouldn't be backing the chooks in this one but im going to have a few bucks on the chooks today as i think NZ are really going to miss shawn and issac.

Butcher needs to start showing something off the bench. He’s been pretty poor in all his efforts so far. Potential will only get you so far..

Cronk doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Johns.

                            You're arguing with yourselves, fellas.

No one has suggested that Cronk is in the same class as Johns.

Joey is still the most complete halfback I've seen by far.

But no shame in not being as good as the GoaT.

There’s no shame in not having a resume comparable to a guy who played his entire career with Cameron Smith either

I think we could have offset the loss of SJ, but Luke has been our main man this year and I don't think we can overcome the loss of both. The weather is diabolical here in Auckland, so am expecting a tight one and Cronks boot to sneak you home.

                                Have a good game fellas!!
