Which players you sign is not an exact science; there's always a bit of a gamble about it.
If we hadn't signed Cooper I would have been happy with MP. As it is I would have loved MP to stay and play 9, but I'm happy with Cooper at 7. We signed him to do a job for two years and I'm happy to give him a chance to do it.

Not at all...... we would have been just another above mediocre team with Pearce and still needing to blood some new kids.... with Cronk we may be that mediocre team , but he is a better role model for any player, let alone a young half following through.
I feel with cronk, when we get on top of a team, we will stay ther. With PEarce I was never confident that he could manage us home without heart palpitations!!
Plus I was sick of his 7 tackle kicks... Now I can get sick of cronks 7 tackle kicks.....a change is as good as a holiday!

We probably have a win or two more with Pearce out there....but that's mainly because Friend and Cronk appear to have "issues" - don't miss him though.

Only thing I miss about Pearcey was his willingness to take young players under his wing, and steer them in the right direction.
